Charlie Sheen Was Visibly Shaken Up By The Boos He Received During The Opening Night Of His Torpedo Of Truth Tour

After his departure from Two and a Half Men, Charlie Sheen started to spiral. Heck, he still hasn’t lived down the time he shared his phone number with all of Twitter.

During his exit from Two and a Half Men, Sheen decided to kick-start a tour. The actor discussed his career, while he also told some jokes. Although it sounded great to some, the reality was not as positive. At the start of his tour, Sheen was already getting massive boos from the audience.

Things got off to a bad start in Detroit, and we’re going to take a closer look at the way Sheen handled it all. In addition, we’re going to take a look at Sheen’s other show during the tour in New York, and how the fans reacted. Once again, reviews were less than stellar.

Charlie Sheen’s Jokes Weren’t Making Sense And The Detroit Crowd Made Him Have It

Charlie Sheen’s show in Detroit proved to be a complete disaster. Sheen was trying everything possible to win the crowd back, and that included trying on his Two and a Half Men attire. Even that failed to work, and Sheen was getting noticeably frustrated. He said during his set, “Is anybody as confused by this s–– as I am? The good news is, I wrote every [expletive] word.”

At that point, even Sheen himself noticed his jokes weren’t making sense. Still, he tried to turn the crowd around with a harsh joke, one that only made things worse.

“I figured Detroit was a good place to tell some crack stories,” he said, before asking the audience, “Show of hands – who here has tried crack? Forget that. Who is holding crack right now? I don’t do crack anymore, but I’m just saying.”

Ultimately, Sheen would continue on by taking his frustrations out at those in the audience that were booing. “Tell the guy next to you booing to shut the f–– up because he’s ruining it for the rest of you.”

Although Sheen did receive some support during the show, it was clear that fans behind the scenes were not impressed with the show.

Fans From The Show Were Upset By How Much They Spent On Tickets

Charlie Sheen got booed kicking off his Detroit tour. In truth, a lot of the fans on-hand had negative reactions. One fan in particular told People that they didn’t believe Sheen would continue his tour given the reaction he got from the audience.

“We’re happy we came from Toronto to see it here because I don’t think he’ll continue with the rest of his shows. He’s going to take this as a sign that he’s not going to be received well in other cities.”

Another fan noted, “I thought he was pretending he was crazy until tonight. It was all crap. We’d rather lose money at the casino than come to another one of his shows.”

Other fans took exception to the price of the show. “I want my money back,” a fan said after paying $150 for two tickets. “I was hoping for something. I didn’t think it would be this bad.”

Unfortunately for Sheen, the tour would continue to take many hits along the way, and that was also apparent during a set in front of a rowdy New York crowd.

Charlie Sheen Also Got Mixed Reactions For His New York Show Despite His Efforts

As Daily Mail revealed back in 2011, Charlie Sheen made a quick exit as the New York stage show turned sour. Sheen received mixed reviews for his performance, and not even the New York Yankees clothing could have helped him with the fans. Things took a turn during an odd instance after Sheen had revealed he stopped taking drugs.

Daily Mail writes, “The crowd were initially supportive of Sheen but bizarrely booed him when he said he had quit drugs. As he was trying to talk during his question and answer session, he was jeered by a large section of the crowd, which he obviously found disconcerting.”

“Security had thrown out a few noisy hecklers early on, but plenty still remained. His stage show was very similar to the previous ones in Detroit and Chicago but tonight’s gig finished about 30 minutes, according to TMZ. It was a shorter than he did in Ohio and ended to a mixture of boos and cheers.”

At that point, things weren’t going smoothly for Sheen as he was also ousted from Two and a Half Men. At the time, Sheen revealed that he wanted to bring Chuck Lorre on-stage so that they could settle their dispute. Ultimately, it wasn’t meant to be and Charlie didn’t even show up for the final episode, one that was not well-received by the audience. At least this time, it wasn’t because of Sheen.
