Conan O’Brien had lots of memorable interviews over the years, though one stuck out, and he went to discuss it in-depth years later. Speaking alongside Rolling Stone, Conan O’Brien remembers when Donald Trump stormed off his show.
The interview turn all started after Conan asked Donald a simple question, and that was how much money he was carrying at the moment. However, things take a turn when Trump briefly pulls out something else…
Conan recalls, “The first time we had Trump on our show, I asked him a question that I’d always wanted to ask someone who proclaimed to be a billionaire: “How much money do you have on you right now?” He sort of said, “I don’t know, I maybe have some.” I said, “No, no, what do you have?” Then he stuck his hand in his pocket and he clearly found something.”
Conan continues, “I saw his face change, and I could see that he didn’t want me to know what it was. So I reached over and I was like, “Come on, come on.” I made him pull it out — and it was a condom. He said, “Practice safe sex everybody.” He was in-between marriages at the time.”
It is clear in the video below that Trump was regretting the situation.

Donald Trump Vowed Never To Return To Conan, But That Wasn’t The Case
As the show went to commercial, Conan still recalls Trump’s anger with the interview. Conan claims Donald didn’t even say goodbye.
“He was pissed. He was really mad. I went to commercial. He stood up. I don’t think he said goodbye to me, and he walked over to my producer and said, “That’s the last time I’m gonna be on this fucking show. He humiliated me in front of everybody.” He stormed out. Cut to me seven more times [over the years]: “Ladies and gentlemen, Donald Trump!” He got over it, clearly.”
Stephen Colbert Went On A Rant After A Former Guest Claimed His Interview Boosted The Late Show’s Ratings
A former Late Show guest went off on Stephen Colbert, claiming that the host’s show was dying prior to their interview.
Given his experience with Trump, getting used to having Donald as President was not an easy adjustment for the late show host.
He would shoot bits for us: “Can we get Nipsey Russell to come shoot something? He’s not available? Well, then try Donald Trump. Donald will do it.” Anyone who would do that, and then is the leader of the free world, is not going to make sense to me.”
Conan continues, “Growing up, you always put the president up on a pedestal. The minute the president is someone that you know, you think, “That guy can’t be president. I know that guy. I saw that guy steal towels at the gym. He can’t be president.” That’s the feeling I think a lot of us have.”
As expected, Donald had other problematic interviews, and one of them took place alongside Stephen Colbert in recent times.
Donald Trump Was Banned From Other Late Shows In Recent Times
Although Stephen Colbert apologized to Donald Trump during their rare interview, the host wasn’t impressed with his chat alongside the former President. In fact, Colbert revealed it would be the first and last time Trump appeared on the Late Show.
“I did once. I wouldn’t want to anymore,” Colbert said. “He was actually kind of disappointing.” “He played ‘the reasonable man.’ He’s always kinda in persona mode,” Colbert said.
“Sometimes he plays, like, the ‘rallying populist’ and other times he plays the ‘reasonable man.”
Trump fired back at Colbert, calling the host a “no-talent guy.” Trump went on to claim that Colbert’s Late Show was dying prior to his interview, and that the appearance did huge numbers and put the program back into relevancy on late night television. Clearly, the two are not fans of one another.
