Fans Applauded After Jimmy Kimmel Revealed Donald Trump Was Going To Be The Healthiest President
Over eight years ago, Donald Trump was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live, which is surprising given the host’s reaction to the former President in recent years. Nonetheless, the conversation between the two was an amicable one, and dare we say, the chemistry between the two was completely fine.
One moment in particular saw Kimmel make mention that Trump had the potential of being the healthiest President of all-time.
Trump’s doctor wrote he would be “the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.” Kimmel said, “How do you get a doctor to write something?”
Trump replied, “I said, doc, I want to tell you, I will be the healthiest president ever. And he said, hmmm. I think I agree. And I think he probably took my words and put them down.”

Mean tweets took a turn and it resulted in Jimmy Kimmel getting slapped by his A-list guest.
Looking back, Kimmel joked around about the interview, and didn’t have anything harsh to say.
“Mr. Trump was in Las Vegas last night – for the fifth Republican debate,” Kimmel said.
“It was the third most-watched primary debate ever. Eighteen million viewers tuned in – more people watched the debate than watched the season finale of ‘The Voice.’ Maybe Carly Fiorina is the new Gwen Stefani.” Another quip: “My biggest take-away from last night is that, whoever wins the election, we need to force Jeb Bush and Donald Trump to live in a house together with cameras on them 24/7.”
Over the years, however, Kimmel’s mood changed in regard to Trump.

Although Trump and Kimmel’s interview was friendlier than expected, things changed. It got so bad, that Kimmel almost left Live over his Donald Trump jokes. Kimmel was told to tone the jokes down, while the host wasn’t onboard.
“There was at one time, maybe, I don’t know, right around the beginning of this whole Trump thing where … that was kind of hinted at, but I just said, ‘Listen, I get it. I don’t disagree. I mean, you’re right.”
“I just said, ‘If that’s what you want to do, I understand and I don’t begrudge you for it, but I’m not going to do that. So if you want somebody else to host the show, then that’s fine. That’s OK with me. I’m just not going to do it like that’ … I have lost half of my fans — maybe more than that,” he told the co-hosts.

Stephen Colbert Also Turned On Donald Trump After Their Interview
Donald Trump appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was even more surprising given Colbert’s past jabs at Trump. At the start of their interview, Stephen Colbert apologized to Trump. The interview between the two was fine, though there was a question Trump refused to answer, relating to Barack Obama’s birth certificate, which was a hot topic at the time.
Despite the interview between the two, Colbert revealed he wouldn’t interview Donald Trump again.
“Backstage, he’s just like some guy you might meet at a club. I mean ‘country club,’ not like disco. He’s very clubbish and he’s kind of innocuous in a way. There’s nothing particularly remarkable about him.”
“Then he puts on a persona for a camera, and the persona he gave me when he was on the show the first time was actually very quiet and very reserved,” Colbert said about their interview.
Colbert continues, “I did once. I wouldn’t want to anymore. He was actually kind of disappointing. He played ‘the reasonable man.’ He’s always kinda in persona mode,” Colbert said.
“Sometimes he plays, like, the ‘rallying populist’ and other times he plays the ‘reasonable man.”
Trump’s late night show options have been clearly limited since his Presidential run.
