As one of the most successful hip-hop artists of all time, Eminem has become a legitimate music legend. One of the keys to Eminem becoming rich and successful is that he can write wildly successful songs about virtually any topic he wants.

When Eminem isn’t busy writing songs about his ex-wife, he often raps about the rich, famous, and powerful. Unfortunately for Eminem, that fact has resulted in him getting investigated by the Secret Service twice.

When Eminem was working on his album “Encore” album, he recorded a slew of songs. However, months before “Encore” was released, several of Eminem’s songs were leaked online.

One of those songs that was leaked online was titled “We As Americans”. Unfortunately for Eminem, that song contained lyrics that got the attention of The Secret Service and not in a good way.

“F— money/ I don’t rap for dead presidents/ I’d rather see the president dead/ It’s never been said, but I set precedents.”

Even though Eminem didn’t mention President George W. Bush in his song, some saw his lyrics as a possible threat against America’s leader at that time. As a result, it seems that some members of the media were interested enough to ask if The Secret Service was going to investigate the song.

On December 8th, 2003, MTV published an article about the controversy. As a part of their article, MTV revealed that someone from the Secret Service Office of Public Affairs had confirmed the agency was investigating Eminem over the song.

MTV’s article also included a response from Eminem’s team. According to Eminem’s representatives, “We As Americans” was an unfinished song that the rapper didn’t intend to release.

However, it appears that plans changed somewhere along the line. After all, when Eminem’s album “Encore” was released in 2004, “We As Americans” was included on a bonus disc that was packaged with it.

Perhaps it was the publicity that “Wa As Americans” received that inspired Eminem to release the song in that form. After all, since the song had garnered so much attention, including it on the bonus track was free publicity.

“[Bush] has been painted to be this hero, and he’s got our troops over there dying for no reason. We got young people over there dyin’, kids in their teens, early twenties that should have futures ahead of them. And for what? It seems like a Vietnam 2. Bin Laden attacked us, and we attacked Saddam. Explain why that is. Give us some answers.”

Eminem Got Investigated For Rapping About President Donald Trump

In 2018, Eminem released a song called “The Rapper” in which his lyrics revealed he’d been visited by The Secret Service. If most rappers made a claim like that, it would be fake news. In Eminem’s case, however, it has since been completely confirmed that happened.

In 2017, Eminem released his album “Revival” which included a song titled “Framed” In the lyrics for that song, Eminem rapped about Donald Trump and Ivanka Trump in insulting ways.

“Donald Duck’s on as the Tonka Truck in the yard. But dog, how the f*** is Ivanka Trump in the trunk of my car?… Cause I feel somewhat responsible for the dumb little blonde girl, that motherf***in’ baton twirler that got dumped in the pond. Second m**der with no recollection of it …”

In December of 2017, The Secret Service visited Eminem over those lyrics. The Secret Service also questioned Eminem over threatening lyrics about Donald Trump the rapper uttered during a freestyle.
