Elle called Priscilla Presley’s attendance with granddaughter Riley Keough to the 2023 Emmy Awards a surprise. The two had been engaged in a legal battle for months in 2023 following the death of Lisa Marie Presley. While their spending time together came as a surprise to audiences, Keough told Entertainment Tonight that she was glad to have her family’s support at the event.
For a bit more insight into what may be going on behind the scenes, we consulted body language expert, communication coach, and author of “A.W.E.S.O.M.E” Jess Ponce III. “Priscilla and her granddaughter, Riley, appeared incredibly comfortable in each other’s company,” Ponce said of seeing them together. “There was no sign of any rift or distance between them — quite the opposite. Positioned closely, they angled toward each other, touching side by side. This connected pose conveyed unity and warmth, reinforced by Riley’s affectionate smile as she glanced at her grandmother.”
Ponce also added that Priscilla tightly holding Keough around the waist also demonstrates casual comfort. Generally, the two seem to have elevated their tensions, per Ponce. We hope that our body language expert is right and that these two are finally able to move forward together as a family.
