But another source told Pop Eater in a now-deleted post that Renée Zellweger and Bradley Cooper’s breakup was actually down to Renée wanting to have children and settle down. The source says that Cooper fought with his girlfriend because “his life exactly as it” was and that he was “enjoying all the perks, fame and opportunities that have come his way.”
The pair reunited at the 2020 Academy Awards, where he was nominated as the producer of Joker, and she won an Academy Award for her role in Judy. They presented an award together and seemed in good spirits.
Renée Zellweger has been with television presenter Ant Antstead since 2021. She is regularly seen with his children, attending their ball games and appear on his social media.

Cooper told People in 2010 that he finds it “fascinating” to read about his romantic life in the press. When The New York Times ran a profile about the A Star Is Born actor/director, author Taffy Brodesser-Akner wrote, “He is willing to tell me a lot about his movie … but he is not willing to go much further. He doesn’t like my questions about the particular inspiration for certain details in the movie. He doesn’t like questions about his personal life.”
The writer added that Cooper worries about discussing his relationship for fear of it being poorly edited in the press.
When he was dating model Irina Shayk, she explained why they rarely spoke about each other publicly, “Because my work requires me to be out there, I just decided my personal life will be quiet,” she said in 2019. “That’s why it’s called personal, because it’s something for you and your family, and I feel happy with it.”
It’s not just his love life he stays quiet on. “He’s an extremely private guy who dislikes the spotlight,” an insider told Ok!. They add that he loves acting but “not the attention that comes along with it.”
“Since becoming a dad, Bradley’s loosened up. These days he’s willing to share more about his life, past and present. He’s hoping that his story might someday help another young actor out there,” the insider revealed.
