Ross Geller, though ultimately meant to be with Rachel Green, dated a lot of people throughout the hit sitcom Friends. Ross was portrayed by David Schwimmer, and the love of his life was played by Jennifer Aniston. Ross and Rachel actually spent to the majority of Friends as just that: friends. That meant that Ross spent a great deal of the series trying to find love elsewhere.

14 Ross’ Ex-Wife, Carol Willick Played By Anita Barone
Carol Willick was Ross Geller’s ex-wife. When Friends began, they had just gotten divorced due to Carol’s realization that she was a lesbian. Carol and Ross are forced to remain in each other’s lives, however, when Carol discovers that she is pregnant with Ross’s child.
The character Carol is first seen in the second episode of the first season. In the episode, Anita Barone played Ross’s ex-wife. After that, however, the character was recast and Jane Sibbett took over the role of Carol.
13 Ross’ Fling With Chandler’s Mom, Nora Tyler Bing Played By Morgan Fairchild
Though not technically a relationship, Ross Geller did have an intimate moment with Chandler’s mom Nora Tyler Bing. The two shared a kiss and were caught by Joey. Nora was played by Morgan Fairchild.
12 Ross’ Girlfriend, Julie Played By Lauren Tom
Julie was the first love interest of Ross Geller that was considered to be a villain, at least in regards to Rachel Green. Though Rachel had finally learned of Ross’ feelings for her, and had realized she had feelings for him, Ross came back from China with a new girlfriend: Julie.
Fans were frustrated by the complication, as they wanted Ross and Rachel to get together. They would have to wait a while, even after Julie was eventually out of the picture. Julie was played by Lauren Tom, who is also popular for her role of Linda Tran on the CW’s Supernatural.
11 Ross’ Hookup Girl Chloe “The Hot Xerox Girl” Played By Angela Featherstone
The biggest villain of them all. Though Ross Geller never technically dated Chloe, also known as “the hot Xerox girl,” their night together had major consequences. Ross slept with Chloe while he thought he was on a break from his relationship with Rachel Green. The debate of whether or not they were actually on a break was ongoing on Friends, and continues to be discussed by fans today.
Angela Featherstone played Chloe, and she has potentially changed the most over the years when compared to Ross’s other ex-girlfriends.
10 Ross’ Girlfriend Bonnie Played By Christine Taylor
Bonnie and Ross Geller were set up by Phoebe after Rachel gave Phoebe the all-clear. However, Rachel only said it was okay because she thought Bonnie was still bald. When she realized that was not the case, Rachel attempted to sabotage the relationship and even convinced Bonnie to shave her head again.
Ross ended up breaking up with Bonnie to give things with Rachel another try, but their attempt did not last long either. They broke up again after Ross refused to take full responsibility for their previous breakup. Bonnie was played by Christine Taylor, who has been married to Ben Stiller since 2000.
9 Ross’ Messy Date Cheryl Played By Rebecca Romijn
The character of Cheryl was only in one episode of season four of Friends. Ross Geller went on a couple dates with her, but had a difficult time seeing her due to how messy and dirty her apartment was. Fans will never forget when Ross was covered in garbage after kissing Cheryl on her couch.

8 Ross’ Ex-Wife Emily Waltham Played By Helen Baxendale
Another big villain for Ross Geller and Rachel Green fans was Ross’s ex-wife Emily Waltham. Rachel actually was the one to set Ross up with the British girl, but it was on accident. After only dating for a short time, Ross and Emily decided to get married.
In the most famous season finale of Friends, Ross infamously said Rachel’s name during his vows to Emily at the alter. Not surprisingly, Ross’s marriage to Emily did not last very long. Emily was played by Helen Baxendale, but she was almost fired for a very specific reason.
7 Ross’ Girlfriend Janice Played By Maggie Wheeler
Though Janice was primarily in Friends as a love interest for Chandler Bing, played by Matthew Perry, she did have a brief relationship with Ross Geller. After his marriage to Emily Waltham ended, Ross found comfort in Janice since they had both gone through divorces.
Janice is mostly known in Friends for her distinct voice. She was played by Maggie Wheeler.
6 Ross’ College Student Girlfriend Elizabeth Played By Alexandra Holden
After Ross Geller became a professor at NYU, he began seeing student Elizabeth. The relationship was quite scandalous for two reasons: relationships between teachers and students were prohibited by the college, and Elizabeth’s father did not originally approve of the relationship. There were lots of hilarious age gap jokes from other characters.
As she no longer plays a college student, Alexandra Holden has grown up quite a bit since playing Elizabeth on Friends.
5 Ross’ Date Hillary Played By Missi Pyle
Hillary went out with Ross Geller in season 6 of Friends. She worked as the assistant chef of Monica’s restaurant, and Monica set the two of them up. Ross wanted to look good for their date, so he attempted to whiten his teeth. Unfortunately, Ross left the product on his teeth for too long an his teeth were too bright. They even glowed in the dark under Hillary’s black light.
Hillary was played by Missi Pyle.
4 Ross’ Date Jill Green Played By Reese Witherspoon
Rachel Green was not the only Green sister to go out with Ross Geller. Her younger sister Jill made a pass at Ross and the two went out on a date. It was later revealed that Jill was only going out with Ross to bother her older sister.
Jill was played by a young Reese Witherspoon, which was just one of the many high profile cameos throughout Friends.
3 Ross’ Girlfriend Mona Played By Bonnie Somerville
Ross Geller dated Mona for a while in season 8 of the hit sitcom. The two met right around the time Rachel discovered she was pregnant with Ross’s baby. Mona stuck around despite the fact that Ross was having a child with someone else, and that forced her into some very unfortunate situations. Ross’s priority was his unborn child, and he often forgot about Mona.
Mona finally dumped Ross after she learned Rachel had moved into his apartment. Mona was played by Bonnie Somerville.

Charlie Wheeler joined Friends in season 9. Like Ross Geller, she was also a paleontologist and started work at NYU. Despite all the connections to Ross, though, Charlie began dating Joey, played by Matt LeBlanc.
After realizing she did not have much in common with Joey, the two broke up. Charlie and Ross then began dating. Charlie was the last woman that Ross dated before he finally ended up with Rachel Green. Charlie was played by Aisha Tyler.

Ross Geller and Rachel Green were Friends greatest “will they or won’t they” couple. The constant back and forth between the two characters was enough to keep fans capitvated and drive them crazy. The series ends with Ross confessing his love to Rachel as she’s meant to board a plane to Paris for a new job. Rachel still gets on the plane, shocking everyone. But she ends up at Ross’ door ending the series back with Ross. Jennifer Aniston played Ross’ true love, Rachel Green during all 10 seasons of Friends.
