Gemma Atkinson took to Instagram today to open up about a “messy” wardrobe malfunction that forced her to immediately change early this morning. The Emmerdale actress was joined by her Strictly Come Dancing star fiancé Gorka Márquez, who seemed tickled by the incident.
Gemma, 39, and Gorka, 33, share two adorable children together: four-year-old daughter Mia and newborn son Thiago. However, their baby boy caused his mum a spot of trouble this morning after having a little accident while she was standing nearby.
Taking to her Instagram story, Gemma shared the hilarious update with her family in view of her 1.9 million followers. She captioned the video: “Standard morning in our house.”
Speaking to her fans, the former soap star explained: “Half past eight and I’ve already had to change my outfit because…” At this point Gorka interjected, teasing: “You’re a mess!”
Gemma continued: “Someone weed on it.” Gorka then chimed in again: “It wasn’t me!”
“It wasn’t me,” Mia added, as her mum agreed. Gemma carried on: “Thiago weed all over my outfit, but guess who got the stain out?”
“Mr Muscle,” she continued, turning to Gorka. Mia then interrupted again, shouting: “I’m a gymnast!”
“Mia’s decided she’s a gymnast today, which is fabulous,” the proud mum confirmed good-humouredly.
Gemma has previously spoken about how giving birth to her second child put her traumatic first birth into perspective.
The radio presenter, who gave birth to Thiago back in July, needed an emergency c-section when Mia was born and suffered a haemorrhage after giving birth.
She previously told PA: “With Mia, I felt like the choice was completely taken out of my hands – because it was an emergency section, then I had a big haemorrhage.
“But this time around, I’ve learned that it wasn’t taken out of my hands. That’s just how it was.
“For some women, that’s their pregnancy, and that’s their birth. Ultimately, the end goal is to birth a healthy, happy child, which is a successful birth.”
