Hugh Bonneville enjoys ‘girls night out’ after split from wife of 25 years

Newly single Hugh Bonneville hit the town with pals after splitting from his wife of 25 years.

The Downton Abbey star, known for playing Lord Grantham, was pictured alongside actresses Tamzin Outhwaite and Julie Graham as they hit the town. They were smiling and laughing in a series of Instagram pictures shared by Julie during the fun-filled evening.

The 59-year-old Hugh was enjoying the evening with friends less than a month after splitting from wife Lulu Williams. The group headed out to support Tamzin in her production of Noises Off at the Haymarket Theatre, reports MailOnline.

They were seemingly joined by Angela Griffin and her husband Jason Milligan and actors Rachael Stirling and Owain Arthur as they messed around and posed for a snaps outside the venue.

Julie, who is best known for her role in The Bill, captioned the post: “Fun night watching our @glamzin being super brilliant in Noises Off at the Haymarket Theatre… Total hoot.”

The pictures included snaps of Hugh posing with Tamzin as she pouted towards the camera. As well as another of the star with both Tamzin and Angela.

Commenting on the post, 52-year-old Tamzin said: “I love you so much Jules! Thank you for coming… Everything hurts from laughing.”

The outing is less than a month after Hugh and Lulu split. Their break-up was confirmed days after appearing at the wedding of his Downtown Abbey co-star Michelle Dockery alone.

Hugh and Lulu often appeared on the red carpet together, most recently they attended the Old Vic Theatre in London for a gala in April. She had however been absent from Hugh’s recent appearances.

Five years ago the-then loved-up couple renewed their vows in Las Vegas. But Lulu is said to have broken down in tears when she told friends their marriage was over.

One local told the MailOnline: “She got incredibly emotional talking about the break-up.”
