There have been several discussions about the Real Housewives of Potomac. However, fans have started to speculate that Ashley Darby may be exiting the show. Now, she had fanned the flames with a short video posted to social media.
Ashley has been on RHOP since episode 2 of season 1. This makes her an OG. However, some fans were disappointed in her lack of a storyline this season.
Ashley recently took to social media to thank her fans for being supportive and understanding during the current season. She alluded to certain things in her life that she couldn’t share. However, the part some fans can’t stop replaying is when she says, “This has been a great journey. Who knows what’s to come of it?”

There are two issues with that statement. For one, saying, “It’s been a great journey” makes it sound like she’s walking away. It puts the journey in the past. The other thing is the what’s to come of it part. Yes, in this stage of production, the ladies wouldn’t know if they were returning or not. However, her phrasing lends itself to their being a potential change.
The other thing is that you don’t often see Housewives posting videos thanking their fans for support during the season. As with the statement itself, it feels like she’s saying goodbye without really saying it.
Besides her video, a recent episode of RHOP did a bit of a montage of some of Ashley’s best moments. This really got fans talking because the Housewives shows never do this. Sure, this was for her birthday, but the way production edited it felt like a send-off, as though maybe she told them going into the season this would be her last.
However, this is all just speculation. Ashley may very well return in some capacity to the next season of the show. Still, this is all a bit odd. Do you think Ashley is leaving the show?
