ITV fans have been left stunned at Josie Gibson’s weight loss transformation since leaving the Australian jungle. The presenter came in fourth place after spending four weeks in the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! camp.

Josie appeared on This Morning via video link from Australia and spoke to Christine Lampard and Dermot O’Leary. The 38-year-old showcased her slimmed-down figure in a black dress and was quizzed about her experience in the jungle.

The campmates traditionally eat a restricted diet of beans and rice unless they win treats through Bushtucker Trials. Josie was the last woman to be voted out of the camp but narrowly missed out on the final as Tony Bellew, Sam Thompson and Nigel Farage battled it out to be the next King of the Jungle.

During her interview, she shared that she almost quit the show during its early stages. Josie revealed she began to have second thoughts just a few hours walking into the Australian jungle.

She revealed: “When I first got there actually I sat there under my quilt and I honestly thought, ‘How am I going to do this? How am I ever going to see this through?’

“I didn’t know how I could do a week, let alone three. I did have a big wobble a few days before the end as well. I was pining for (my son) Reggie. I was sad, I wasn’t myself.”

Josie continued: “I’m so proud of myself, I got further than I ever thought. My spider phobia is off the scale. But was the last woman standing! I’ve been in there six months, one day is like three rolled into one – it feels like forever…I couldn’t have done the experience without the campmates I had. There was a real connection.”

Since leaving the camp, Josie has been reunited with her four-year-old son as they waited for the finalists to return. Her son was reportedly not allowed to meet Josie across the bridge when she was voted off due to his age, so instead she was met by her best friend Mia.

During Sunday’s final, Sam Thompson was crowned King of the Jungle after defeating Nigel and Tony to the title. The Made in Chelsea star won the majority of the public vote after weeks of intense trials and challenges.

As Sam was announced the champion, it’s since been revealed that I’m A Celebrity suffered a huge drop in viewing figures compared to the 2022 finale. Only an average of 6.7 million tuned in, whereas an average of 10.1 million watched Jill Scott win last year.

Despite this, the programme did have promising viewing figures to start, with 10.9 million fans watching the first episode. However, food critic Grace Dent and singer Jamie-Lynn Spears then pulled out of the show due to medical grounds.
