Loose Women star Coleen Nolan has opened up about her “winding up” friend and fellow panellist Ruth Langsford about her husband Eamonn Holmes. The pair are often seen having exchanges on air about the GB News presenter and Coleen admits that she loves seeing Ruth’s reaction.
“I love winding Ruth up about him. I love him and me and him get on so well and Ruth’s like seriously, my best friend, one of my best friends and I know that she’s insanely jealous,” she exclusively told Express.co.uk in advance of her upcoming UK tour.
“She gets really jealous,” Coleen laughed. “So I love winding her up and going ‘really Eamon is much better with me.’
“But then the papers pick it up, the magazines and stuff but we do have a laugh about it. As soon as she says something about Eamonn – like if she’s negative about him.
“She’ll say he’s always moaning with all these ailments I go, ‘Eamon’s not like that with me’ and she’s like, ‘I swear to God I’m gonna kill you.’ So we do have such a laugh about it,” she confessed. “Love the two of them so much.”
As the panel discussed perfect marriages Coleen earnestly told Ruth: “I’d be devastated if you and Eamonn split up.”
However, Ruth couldn’t resist making a joke of it saying: “Well I thought you wanted him. “I thought you’d be the first in,” she said to raucous laughter from the other panellists and the audience.
Not to be outdone, Coleen came back with a quip of her own. “I don’t think marriage is stopping us,” she said coyly as she cheekily fanned herself with her cue card leaving everyone speechless.
