  • The agreement allows Sophie to take their daughters to the UK, her native country, while Joe remains in the US.

Joe Jonas is letting loose after coming to a temporary custody agreement with his estranged wife Sophie Turner over custody of their two young daughters.

The musician was recently seen partying on a yacht with a group of people, less than a week after the couple decided to split custody for now, which means Sophie will be able to take their kids to her native UK.

On Sunday, October 15, caught up to Joe in Miami, Florida as he enjoyed the boat party, with photos showing the celebrity wearing a white button-down shirt over a tank top paired with beige shorts. There were a variety of famous faces on the yacht, including Jim McGraw, who was seen socializing with Joe during the soiree.

Though Joe and Sophia sold their Miami mansion earlier this year, it appears the musician is only in town for a little bit, despite calling Florida state his full-time home until recently. Joe was in Miami to play two shows as part of The Jonas Brothers’ ongoing tour.

Last week, it was reported that Joe and Sophie had entered into four days of mediation to reach a temporary custody agreement. This comes after a dramatic split in which Joe filed for divorce in Florida last month.

However, Sophie later launched a lawsuit, alleging Joe was withholding their daughter’s passports and preventing her from going to the UK with them, though he says their family had been planning to relocate overseas before Joe decided to file for divorce.

Sophie’s lawsuit was tantamount to accusing Joe of kidnapping their daughters, which his lawyer swiftly denied, alleging that taking the girls abroad would violate their pending divorce. “Joe is seeking shared parenting with the kids so that they are raised by both their mother and father, and is of course also okay with the kids being raised both in the US and the UK,” the representative said.

“This is an unfortunate legal disagreement about a marriage that is sadly ending,” he went on. “When language like ‘abduction’ is used, it is misleading at best, and a serious abuse of the legal system at worst.”

As per Page Six, the new custody agreement allows Sophie to travel with their daughters in the US or UK. The Game of Thrones actress is reportedly with their daughters at the moment but will exchange care with Joe at the beginning of November.

The former couple will then continue to alternate custody until the New Year. They’ll reportedly spend Thanksgiving with Joe, while Sophie will have them at Christmas.

The exes are expected to come to an official custody agreement at a later date. Their divorce remains pending.
