Joe Swash’s sister Shana has welcomed her first child, a baby girl, with husband-to-be Nick Jones. The 33-year-old, who is best known for her role as Demi Miller on EastEnders, took to Instagram to announce the special news with her fans.
The new mum shared a series of pictures for her 55,000 followers to see as she basked in the love of her newborn. Shana proudly showed off her baby girl in the snaps, as well as just moments after the delivery and sweet pictures of herself, Nick and their little girl.
She also took the opportunity to reveal her little one’s name as she popped it into the caption. “Kitty Frances Swash Jones. 18.12.2023,” she penned as she told her fans the baby was born eleven days ago.
Shana announced she was expecting her first child back in June with a sweet picture of her and Nick holding a picture of their baby scan photo. In the picture, Nick can be seen kissing the cheek of his wife-to-be as she smiled from ear-to-ear, while looking into the camera.
She wrote: “PENDING…. BABY JONES 5TH DECEMBER 2023,” alongside love heart emojis. Shana’s celebrity pals rushed to the comment section to share their well-wishes for the couple.
Mrs Hinch penned: “Aww amazing amazing news. Congratulations to you both. How adorable xxxx.”
Her former EastEnders co-star Brooke Kinsella commented with three red heart emojis, while Kara Tointon added two red heart eyes emojis.
The couple got engaged two years ago and shared pictures from their engagement on social media, with Shana showing off her diamond ring.
Shana was introduced as part of the Miller family on the BBC soap back in 2004 and was on-screens until her exit in July 2006.
Interestingly, her brother Joe, 41, played her on-screen brother too, as Mickey Miller.
Since exiting the show, Shana has continued her acting career with roles in Doctors, Top Boy and My Feral Heart.
She also opened up a coffee shop after finding a passion for coffee during lockdown, and now runs the store full-time and enjoys connecting with EastEnders fans over a brew.
