Johnny Galecki had a stunning Spanish-style compound privately located in the Hollywood Hills. Prior to selling the property, Galecki had the house for rent, while he moved to Nashville. In 2022, the LA Times confirmed the sale of his property. Galecki sold his Spanish compound for $11.1 million.
The LA Times wrote, “Actor Johnny Galecki of “Big Bang Theory” fame just sold his Spanish-style hideaway in Hollywood Hills for $11.1 million, making it the fifth-priciest sale in the neighborhood so far this year. Galecki, who tried renting it out for $45,000 per month last year, made a profit on the property. Records show he paid $9.2 million for the home in 2015.”
Ben Stiller was the previous owner of the home, owning the property for over a decade.

Johnny Galecki Signaled To Fans That He Was Taking Time Off From Hollywood After TBBT
Johnny Galecki did in fact warn fans about his disappearance from Hollywood during an interview on Behind the Brand alongside host Bryan Elliot. The host asks Galecki what’s next, and at that point, he was still unsure. But Galecki did know it was time to take time off.
“Right now, as far as the higher gun actor stuff I want to kind of take a break and let it run its course through my blood stream.” Galecki continues, “I say that, but something always comes up.”
Galecki did have offers pertaining to a possible return. The Conners in particular reached out to the actor, but it seemed like he had different plans. Galecki continues to stay off the map, and is likely enjoying the father life these days, especially given the demanding schedule of The Big Bang Theory for all those years.
It remains to be seen what the future holds, but Johnny did admit to having an interest in working behind the camera, creatively. No matter what the role, fans will welcome a return with open arms.
Johnny Galecki Is Far From The Only Celeb To Move And Call Nashville His Home
According to The Tennessean, moving to Nashville is very common for celebs. That list includes Kathie Lee, Mike Wolfe, Maneet and the Chrisleys, who have all made the move to Nashville.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck is among the big stars to make the move. She said an invitation to visit Nashville gave her life back.
“I was at my worst physical, personal and spiritual place,” she told The Tennessean. “I had lost my natural state of enjoying and playing with the kids. I felt like a mom zombie floating through the rest of the day.”
“Something needed to change. (God) was so generous to give me Nashville as a destination. He turned my doubt into direction.”
Hasselbeck revealed the move didn’t make much sense for her, but it all worked out in the end.
“It feels like a soulmate city to me here. Yes, there’s great food and music in Nashville, but there’s permission to be who you are and to put others first.”
She continues, “Nashville is a city that has eyes that see other people, the space for kindness and the hands to lift someone up when they need it. It’s a place that sees other people, knows they matter and does something about it.”
Clearly, Hasselbeck, Galecki, and other stars have been content with their move.
