A source shared how upset the singer was that his new music was being “overshadowed” by Britney’s memoir, but just days after, the NSYNC singer is reportedly considering doing something that will undoubtedly drag this issue on for a lot longer: he’s thinking of doing a tell-all interview. With Oprah, no less.

“Justin is really not happy how things have gone down. He wanted the music to speak for itself but that’s clearly not happening,” a source said. “He really doesn’t want to do it but the louder the backlash gets the more he feels he may have to.”
Of course, it’s his prerogative to tell his side of things however he wants, but if he doesn’t want his music to be overshadowed by the past conflicts that Britney shared in her memoir, actively bringing attention to it doesn’t seem like the right way to do it.
Things Might Have Calmed Down If Justin Had Accepted Britney Spears’ Apology
It makes sense that her relationship with Justin Timberlake would be mentioned in Britney Spears’ memoir. After all, the two of them were the power couple of the early 2000s. Britney dove into some delicate issues when she wrote about their relationship and subsequent breakup, including her negative feelings about some of Justin’s actions. Those were her experiences, and she’s allowed to write about them, but she never meant to hurt anyone, so after it came out, she decided to apologize to the people involved. “I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry…” she posted. “I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song ‘Selfish’ It is soo good and how come every time I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so hard??? Ps ‘Sanctified’ is wow too.”
This wasn’t enough for Justin Timberlake, apparently, because at one of his concerts, he prefaced the song “Cry Me a River” by saying that he wanted to apologize to “f***ing nobody”, which prompted Britney to delete her post.
Ironically, had the former NSYNC member accepted this apology, the feud would have ended right there and then, and his new music wouldn’t have been tarnished by this drama.
