Kanye West was left furious after he appeared to get injured during a pedicure, causing him to lash out at the nail technician.
Rapper Ty Dolla Sign (who often collaborates with Kanye) shared footage of the interaction on Instagram alongside a series of laughing emojis. The video shows Kanye sitting in a chair, with one foot submerged in a basin and the other in the hands of the pedicurist.
“Ah! Whoa,” Ye suddenly says, while appearing to move in reaction to pain. The technician then tries to explain what she’s doing to reassure him everything was alright, but the rapper was visibly upset by the ordeal.
Kanye Refused To Follow Through With The Pedicure And Manicure
“Nah, I’m not gonna do the rest of it. I gotta — I’m not gonna do it,” Kanye suddenly says, as he pulls his foot away from the employee.
The nail technician tried to explain the type of instrument she was using and why, but Kanye quickly cut her off to insist the pedicure was over. “Oh, no, I’m not gonna do it,” Ye said, raising his voice. “It’s my toes. It’s my toes. It’s my toes! I’m not gonna do it. That hurt.”
“And the hands?” the woman eventually replies, implying Kanye had originally wanted both a manicure and pedicure. “Nope! Thank you very much.” Kanye said quickly as he got up from the seat.
Ty Dolla Sign was in the background sitting on a couch with an uncomfortable look on his face, but he had no comment as Kanye walked away from the pedicurist.
Kanye’s Behavior Has Been Disrespectful And Illegal Recently
Kanye’s reaction may have seemed harsh, but it’s nothing in comparison to the behavior that’s gotten him in trouble abroad, as he’s expressed a blatant disregard for Italian norms and laws.
Initially, the rapper’s partner Bianca Censori received backlash for her provocative outfits, which were sometimes nothing more than sheer pantyhose. Locals began calling for the former Yeezy employee to be fined for public indecency.
Later, the couple were involved in a scandal aboard a water taxi, when they were caught in an inappropriate position, which later spurred a police investigation. Additonally, the boat company released a statement banning Kanye and Bianca from using their services in the future.
Even Kanye’s clothing has been a source of contention. It was previously reported the rapper’s latest head coverings may be violating Italy’s anti-terrorism laws, since they conceal his identity.
Recently, Italian officials gave what appears to be a final warning to the couple to respect the laws, or they may face consequences. A senior official from Florence’s tourism bureau, Andrea Giordani, directly addressed Kanye and Bianca, urging them to comply with local laws.
“I’d like to remind Kanye and his wife that they have broken the code of Enjoy and Respect Florence,” Giordani stated. “We remind them of the code of Enjoy and Respect Florence – it reminds holiday-makers to remember what are the wrong behaviours but also what are the ‘good practices’ to live the city correctly and better organise your stay.”
For now, Kanye and Bianca haven’t replied to Florence’s warning.
