Katie Price has surprised fans with a new addition to her family. The glamour model shared on TikTok that she’s now the proud owner of a hairless sphinx cat.
Taking to the popular social media app, Katie was advertising a new air fryer and at the end of the video a cat can be seen jumping on her shoulder. The newly single model has been a pet owner for several years, including numerous dogs.
She currently owns a Chihuahua named Captain and a Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix breed named Batman. However, she has experienced a number of tragic incidents with her pets over the years.
Over the last few years, Katie has lost five dogs, a horse in a road traffic incident and a depressed chameleon named Marvin. The latest was her dog Blade who was hit by a car back in June.
This prompted furious backlash online and led to 36,000 people signing a petition on Change.org. The petition made claims that Katie was unfit to care for animals and accused her of “leaving animal faeces on the floor.”
Katie has fired back at her critics and said that the RSPCA have visited her for an inspection and she passed. She ranted: “Who said I shouldn’t have animals?
“Tell me why I shouldn’t have animals? Tell me why? I’m going to prove you f**kers wrong who say and believe everything.”
“It’s like my driving license someone says I shouldn’t drive for medical reasons, someone from the public said it and I proved them wrong. I had the RSPCA out and they ticked every box to say my animals are healthy – they ticked every box. I’m going to prove to you lot the RSPCA have been here, done an inspection and I passed everything.”
She recently adopted her seventh dog in November, a black labrador puppy. She told her sister Sophie in the podcast: “I get a call from a friend across the road, ‘Kate, someone has just given me a puppy, they can’t have it, can you have it?
“I am like, ‘What is it? A Black Labrador,’ and I went, ‘Aw I really can’t have any more dogs,’ and I said, ‘Just bring it over.’ So I have got a nine-week-old Labrador puppy. They had puppies, sold it to someone and they got it for their kid who has got autism but the kid is going absolutely mad with it.
“They have had it three weeks, the puppy must be 12 weeks, sorry. Tiny it is. I said, ‘Bring it around, so I have rescued a dog. I couldn’t say no, it turned up and needs a home, so I have rescued a black Labrador pup.”
