Kourtney Kardashian is currently expecting her first child with Travis Barker, whom she married last year. But even though Kourtney seems excited for the new chapter in her life, her family reportedly has concerns about Travis’ influence on her.
Kourtney Has Allegedly Changed Since Marrying Travis
“Some of them tolerate him more than others, and some are less outspoken, but they all share an opinion that Kourtney is not the same person since getting together with Travis, and they don’t like it,” a source told OK! Magazine.
“Kim [Kardashian] believes Travis has been isolating Kourtney from the family and slowly turning her against them,” they continued. “It’s true that Kourt spends a lot less time with her sisters and is more vocal in sharing how she doesn’t agree with a lot of things they do. She has certainly pulled away.”
Apparently, Travis and Kourtney are picking up on her family’s concerns, and their response is to put distance between themselves and the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner family.
“Travis is fully aware of the strained situation, and his solution is to ice the family out,” the insider went on. “He and Kourt share a belief that they don’t want drama in their lives, so they prefer to just separate from it.”
Kourtney – who shares three children with her ex-partner Scott Disick – has had a rough pregnancy. She previously underwent emergency fetal surgery and is currently on bed rest as she completes her third trimester.
Kim and Kourtney have infamously been feuding since Kourt’s Italian wedding in 2022. Kourtney accused her younger sister of using her wedding as a business opportunity, as Kim scored a deal with Dolce & Gabana shortly after; the brand had dressed the bridal party for the occasion.
Conversely, Kim has claimed that Kourtney copied her wedding to Kanye West, which also took place in Italy and featured similar elements, including a performance by Andrea Bocelli, who also performed at Kourtney and Travis’ nuptials.
Travis Addressed Allegations He Dated Kim Kardashian
Even though Travis and Kourtney’s marriage was recent, the Blink-182 drummer has known the Kardashian family for years. In fact, comments Travis made about Kim Kardashian in an old memoir from 2015 recently resurfaced, as many fans find it unsettling Travis expressed a romantic interest in Kim before getting with Kourtney.
Travis recently addressed the speculation around him and Kim. Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Travis said, “It’s like, ‘Kourtney’s fans are worried about Travis. He’s a womanizer.’ Stop it,” Barker, 47, told the Los Angeles Times in an interview published on Sunday, October 29. “I obviously shared all that stuff because I wanted to move past it. It was therapeutic for me.”
“That’s her sister,” the musician went on. “[Kourtney] knows we used to talk. Nothing bad was going on. You give people a little information and they think they’ve solved the mystery of ‘this is why they’re fighting.’ It’s just so ridiculous.”
For now, Travis and Kourtney haven’t formally addressed allegations that her family is worried about his influence.
