Why Kourtney’s Photos From Australia Caused Backlash
Among the series of images, she included snapshots featuring her two middle children, Reign and Penelope. One particular photo showcased Reign making a goofy expression alongside his mother and older sister, Penelope, who were both striking kissy faces for the camera. Penelope added an extra touch of flair by flashing a peace sign in one of the pictures. In another scene, Reign was captured sitting alone in the rear of a pick-up truck.
Expressing her gratitude for the trip Down Under, Kourtney captioned the post, “Feeling so grateful for every single second of time with my babies. Rare to get 2 full weeks of 24/7 time as they get older.”
She also extended her appreciation to Australia for the memorable experience, humorously noting, “Thank you Australia for the beautiful memories (minus the spiders).”
While some of the comments on Kourtney’s post questioned how safe it was for Reign to be in the back of a truck like that, the mom-of-four seemingly paid no mind, as she refused to reply to any of the comments expressing concern.
Kourtney’s Parenting Has Been Criticized Many Times
Like many of her sisters, Kourtney’s parenting has come under fire on numerous occasions. This isn’t the first time she’s been slammed for her laidback parenting when it comes to her kids and cars.
In 2022, for example, The Kardashians star faced criticism for allegedly placing her children in a precarious situation while on a car ride. Kourtney Kardashian recorded a video of herself seated in the passenger seat, before turning the camera towards Penelope and Reign, who were seated in the back. They appeared to struggle to maintain focus as the wind tousled their faces, while secured by horizontal seat belts lacking a cross-strap.

Scott spent time with Chloe Bartoli over the holidays, the stylist he allegedly cheated on Kourtney with after she gave birth to their third child.
Detractors contended that the children’s seatbelts posed a safety hazard, chastising Kourtney for permitting them to travel in such conditions. One individual expressed their concern on Instagram, stating: “Those seatbelts were scientifically proven to be unsafe but okay. I guess the vibes matter more than anything.”
More recently, Kourtney’s parenting was called into question when paparazzi caught sight of Reign with a bruised eye, which seemingly happened during their Australia trip. To this day, the reality star hasn’t addressed what happened to Reign’s eye.
