A Place In The Sun host Laura Hamilton has addressed whether or not she’s had work done on her teeth after being asked if they’re real multiple times. The presenter’s stunning smile doesn’t go unnoticed both on screen and on her social media pages, but despite many believing her pearly whites could be veneers, she’s finally confirmed they are her own.

Taking to her Instagram Story on Thursday, the 41-year-old shared: “I am frequently contacted and asked about my teeth, ‘Are they real?’ And the answer is, yes they are real. I’ve had them straightened a couple of times using inivisilign.

“They’re not veneers, they’re not bonded, they are mine, but I do love going to the dentist which probably sounds a bit crazy because I know some people are freaked out by going to the dentist.” Laura went on to say she has also had her teeth whitened in the past, but keeps them fresh with the help of a dental hygienist.

Laura also posted a video of herself undergoing a hygiene session at the dentist she uses alongside details about the many other treatments the Surrey-based practice offers. Laura concluded her post telling fans that due to her blood disorder, Immune thrombocytopenic purpura, she was unable to undergo one of the anti-ageing treatments.

In the comments section, many of Laura’s 157,000 followers shared their thoughts, as one wrote: “Such a gorgeous smile,” while a second added: “Absolutely gorgeous.”

A third joked she was “a little strange” to enjoy the dentist, as many more expressed their fear of visiting.

Laura has previously detailed the reality of living with her rare autoimmune disease, a blood disorder which is characterised by abnormally low levels of blood cells called platelets, a situation referred to as thrombocytopenia.

The health issue can cause bleeding or bruising with many sufferers experiencing purple bruises, as well as tiny reddish-purple dots that look like a rash, according to Mayo Clinic.

The website states that those with ITP who aren’t bleeding and whose platelet count isn’t too low might not need treatment.

For worse symptoms, treatment might include medicines to raise platelet count or surgery to remove the spleen.

In 2021, Laura shared her reality of symptoms during filming for the property show in France.

Keeping it real with her followers, she shared a picture of her bruised arm and wrote: “This week I might have posted a few photos in pretty dresses, but this is the reality of what is underneath and what you can’t see.

“I have had bruising on my arms and my gums have been bleeding. This is ITP.

“If you are an ITP sufferer my thoughts are with you.”

In further words of support, she added: “Don’t let it get you down. Follow your dreams. Anything is possible. There is no need to let it hold you back.”

Laura decided to seek medical advice after discovering excessive bruising on her legs following the birth of daughter Tahlia in 2015.

The presenter shares her daughter and son Rocco with her ex-husband Alex Goward.
