Remini referred to Kid man as her “guardian angel” despite never meeting her. Leah revealed, “During this confusing early period, I sometimes felt adrift,” Remini recalled in her book. “But I had one figure I kept front and center in my mind to keep from going crazy: Nicole Kidman. That’s right, Tom Cruise’s ex was my guardian angel. Although I never met her or attempted to meet her, I thought about her a lot.”

“While I stared at the dark ceiling at night, unable to sleep, I would say to myself, ‘Remember Nicole Kidman,’” Remini wrote in her book. “‘She was declared an SP and left the church, and she’s doing okay. Her career is still going, and she has a husband and family… Just remember Nicole Kidman. She left and she’s okay…’”
Remini was right on, as her career didn’t suffer either after she decided to pull the plug on Scientology.

Among Remini’s other reveals is whether she got blacklisted from Hollywood because of Tom Cruise. Remini discussed the topic three years ago alongside Jon Fuss. She explained there was no change in terms of her opportunities.
Remini revealed, “As far as working in Hollywood, they gave us not only the Emmy but other awards. They have spoken. As far as those that make decisions in Hollywood, that hasn’t affected me. And if it has affected me, I wouldn’t want to work with them anyway. If they are taking the side of an abusive, toxic cult.”

Leah Remini Spent $5 Million During Her Time With Scientology
Back in 2015, it was reported that Leah Remini spent $5 million on Scientology. The Hollywood Reporter calculated the outrageous costs.
The publication writes, “Over the years she says she spent about $2 million for services and training courses and made another $3 million in donations. Among her expenses was $40,000 to compensate Scientology for sandwiches and snacks she stole as a teenager over a few months in the mid-1980s and $5,000 for Scientology-approved marriage counseling to help her then-boyfriend Angelo Pagan to reconcile with his first wife (not her).”
Not only did Remini spend the money, but she wasn’t given much in return.
THR writes, “Remini was a member of the Sea Org (see No. 3) as a teenager. According to the book, she was only paid about $15 a week and the food was terrible (rice and beans day and night or “liquid eggs”). But she was in charge of processing food charges at the Scientology-owned hotel that housed people taking courses at the church so she would charge a sandwich or a snack under a false account name and then when the bill came to her she would “take them to my room, burn them and flush the ashes down the toilet” to hide the evidence.”
“She pulled that scam for about three months and no one was ever the wiser. Years later, when Remini confessed the crimes to a church official during an auditing session, she says the church charged her $40,000 to make up for it.”
