US pop sensation Madonna sparked a frenzy amongst her fans across the pond when she announced her highly-anticipated return to the stage in London, after a three year absence. The Celebration Tour tickets sold out within minutes, as the show marked The Material Girl hitmaker’s comeback to performing live following the Madame X Tour, which ran from 2019 to 2020.
During the Queen of Pop’s hiatus, after her final date at the Palladium back in 2020, fans have witnessed her transformation first-hand via Instagram. Nowadays, mum-of-six Madonna, 65, uses the social media platform to show off her age-defying looks and boundary-pushing fashion choices.
Madonna has also been teasing fans with intriguing glimpses of her Celebration Tour dates, sharing photos of her head-turning costumes and performances. After entertaining her Spanish fans in Barcelona last month, the Vogue singer posed up a storm in a very risqué ensemble, as she lounged on a bed wearing nothing but fishnet tights, satin gloves, and a white lace-trimmed veil.
The Evita actress’ return to the UK stage comes just a few months after a health scare in June, which saw her admitted to the ICU with a “serious bacterial infection”. Madonna and her team had no choice but to push her tour dates back at the time, but now she has fully recovered, the Grammy Award-winner is showing no signs of slowing down.
