Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were given a heartwarming send off by Michael Bublé on Friday night.

The couple attended a lavish gala dinner with 200 guests in Vancouver to wrap up their tour in preparation for the 2025 Winter Invictus Games.

Michael, 48, rewrote the lyrics to Frank Sinatra’s hit song My Way as he also paid tribute to King Charles and sent him “healing wishes” amid his cancer battle.

Shortly before a speech by the Duke, Michael performed a rewritten version of the song.

Ahead of the performance, he explained that he was happy to show both the Duke and his wife, Meghan, “how beautiful this place is,” referring to his home country of Canada.

The Canadian crooner sang, “Our healing wishes for your dad”, in a sweet gesture to the King, who was recently diagnosed with cancer.

In a nod to Harry, Michael sang the lyrics: “You’ve earned each day, the right to say, I did it my way,” and referred to the duke as a “visionary”.

The performance took place at the One Year to Go Dinner event at the Vancouver Convention Center, where Michael sang the track that was co-written with Paul Anka.

Meghan and Harry had been expected to head home to Montecito, California but following three days of Invictus Games events in Whistler and Vancouver the couple decided to extend their stay and enjoy some downtime with the atheletes and organisers.

Michael shared it was emotional for him to be there and that he loved that “we can show Harry and Meghan how beautiful this place is”.

Other lyrics swapped by Michael included: “Nothing tames, Invictus Games, you play them your way, One man, life-changing plan, he does all he can, he’s a visionary”.

Michael’s serenade took place after the musician joined the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at the Hillcrest Community Centre in Vancouver Friday for some wheelchair curling.

The Duke thanked the audience for their “commitment to making Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 possible.”

“When I am with the Invictus community surrounded by so many brave men and women who have served their countries with distinction, I feel humbled and at home,” he said at the dinner, before toasting the decade anniversary of the Invictus Games.
