Miley’s Acceptance Speech Mentioned Everyone But Her Dad
Acknowledging her “mommy” Tish Cyrus, her sister Brandi Cyrus, and her “love” Maxx Morando, Miley expressed her gratitude while accepting the award for her track “Flowers.” However, she gave no similar shout-out to her father and fellow musician, Billy Ray.
Miley went on to voice her appreciation for the award while also hoping that it wouldn’t dramatically change her outlook on life. “Thank you all so much. This award is amazing. But I really hope that it does not change anything. Because my life was beautiful yesterday,” she said.
She also extended her acknowledgments to the song’s cowriters and producers, Thomas “Kid Harpoon” Hull, Michael Pollack, Brian Rajaratnam, and Mark “Spike” Stent.
“Not everyone in the world will get a Grammy, but everyone in this world is spectacular,” Miley went on. “So please don’t think that this is important — Even though it’s very important, right, guys? We are very excited. I want to thank everyone who is standing on the stage.”

Billy Ray Cyrus Married A Wolman 28 Years Younger Than Him
