Noel Gallagher has gotten candid about his love life following the breakdown of his marriage to Sara MacDonald. The couple were married for 12 years before confirming in January 2023 that they had gone their separate ways.

The former Oasis star, who was also previously married to Meg Matthews, 58, between 1997 and 2001, met Sara, 52, in Ibiza. The couple tied the knot a year after meeting in a lavish ceremony at the Lime Wood Hotel in New Forrest.

Noel, 56, and Sara share two sons together – Donovan, 16, and Sonny, 14. The guitarist also shares his daughter Anais, 24, with Meg, 58.

Following his recent divorce from Sara, which was finalised in November 2023, Noel has since struck up a new relationship with a woman called Sally. His girlfriend was recently spotted in attendance at the star’s show at the Royal Albert Hall last month.

Opening up about his new girlfriend, Noel claimed that Sally is a “good woman”. He continued to tell The Sun that while she doesn’t go to his gigs very often, it was “nice to see her” at his most recent concert.

“She says she sees a steely look in my eyes. She’s looked into my eyes countless times down the years.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Noel revealed that he believes he has “punched” above his weight in terms of his previous relationships.

He also explained that making a girl laugh is the key to winning “the battle”.

“I mean, when you drop your trousers, you’d rip them off and show them the little nubbin of fury,” he said. “If they do laugh, you’re halfway there for a peck on the nubbin.”

The father-of-three added that if you act unauthentically to seal the deal with a loved one, then you will have to keep up appearances for the rest of your life.

“She’s either into you for what you are, or the quest continues,” he added.

Earlier this year, Noel opened up about his divorce from publicist Sara and discussed what it was like to be a single man in London.

He appeared on Matt Morgan’s Patreon Podcast and said: “I can get on the bike and go up to King’s Cross, and go down to the canal at Longfield Road.

“And get on the canal outside my wonderful ex-wife’s house and give her a little wave, and go, “You didn’t take this from me!”.

“But the pace of London is f**king great at the minute, I’m loving it.”
