Phillip Schofield ‘sells London pad where affair took place after £185k slashed off price’

Phillip Schofield has reportedly finally sold his £1.2million flat but with £185k off the original asking price. The 61-year-old’s “immaculate top floor two double bedroom apartment”, located in the capital’s Trinity Street, is now marked as “sale agreed” on its listing.

According to The Mirror, estate agents previously only allowed offers in excess of £1,000,000, but by August it had been reduced by £185,000. Phillip is believed to have moved into the flat shortly after coming out as gay live on This Morning in February 2020, while still married to his wife Stephanie Lowe.

He would reportedly stay there while presenting This Morning from Monday to Thursday with ITV cars often seen coming and going from the address. Last year, Phillip’s former co-star Eamonn Holmes claimed the flat is where he enjoyed “playtime” with his This Morning lover, who he admitted to having an “unwise, but not illegal” affair with.

Eamonn said while he didn’t know about the relationship, he “subsequently” found out more information about it “from a ‘very, very good source”. Speaking on GB News shortly after Phillip’s This Morning exit, he claimed an insider told him his lover would arrive at the ITV studio and “was delivered from Phillip’s London home, usually on a Friday morning, because Thursday was playtime when he and Phillip would hit the town”.

He added: “Then he obviously stayed overnight and there are records to show he was brought in the next day separately, in cars paid for by ITV.” Quizzed on if ITV management would have known about the payment for cars, he continued: “Unless Phillip paid the bill separately, but it would still have to go through the accounts office, that they would have seen that and known that.”

Phillip admitted to lying to his wife, his agent as well as his ITV colleagues about the affair.

As part of a review, the network maintained that they had no knowledge of Phillip’s relationship with the runner.

After he resigned from ITV in May, he cleared up some rumours about the affair, saying: “Contrary to speculation, whilst I met the man when he was a teenager and was asked to help him to get into television, it was only after he started to work on the show that it became more than just a friendship. That relationship was unwise, but not illegal. It is now over.”

Shortly after stepping down from This Morning, he also announced he would be stepping away from all his commitments at ITV with “immediate effect”.

He said in a statement: “I am so very, very sorry, as I am for having been unfaithful to my wife.

“I have therefore decided to step down from the British Soap Awards, my last public commitment, and am resigning from ITV with immediate effect expressing my immense gratitude to them for all the amazing opportunities that they have given me.”

Phillip has since been replaced on Dancing On Ice by Stephen Mulhern, while his former co-host Holly Willoughby remains on the show.

In December, The Mirror reported that Phillip had hired a team of wealth management accountants to help with his finances.

According to the publication, he is now believe to be on the books of Sedulo, a company that specialises in helping clients grow their wealth.

In documents filed to Companies House, the presenter’s real estate firm, Fistral Properties Ltd, had been registered with Sedulo’s London offices.

As he leaves his television career in the past, it’s likely this is his primary source of income.

Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Phillip and Sedulo for comment.
