Richard Branson has revealed he’s been involved in a terrifying bike crash as he shared bloody pictures on social media.
The 73-year-old shared the horrifying news with his 4.9 million followers on Instagram as he explained the extent of his injuries.
In the picture, the mogul can be seen with a large red graze on his elbow as well as blood on his white T-shirt as he stood beside a pal who had also been injured.
He penned: “Took quite a big tumble while cycling in Virgin Gorda a little while ago! I hit a pothole and crashed hard, resulting in another hematoma on my hip and a nasty cut elbow, but amazingly nothing broken.
“We were cycling with Alex Wilson, who fell after me, but thankfully he was okay as well,” Richard expressed.
The businessman went on to thank his lucky stars that the accident didn’t turn out worse and that everybody was okay.
He continued: “I’m counting myself very lucky, and thankful for keeping myself active and healthy.
“After all, the brave may not live forever but the cautious do not live at all!”
Richard’s loyal followers rushed to the comments section to express their well-wishes to the star.
One concerned fan said: “OMGoodness! Richard! You do realise, you get only one body per life time, don’t you?
“Cat of nine lives you might well think you are, however – one must be a tad careful in one’s advancing years…”
Another Instagram user wrote: “I hope you’re OK! Far out giant! Glad you made it out and smiling no less!”
While a third penned: “Glad you both OK , it’s not the destination but the journey.”
