Rising star Chance Perdomo has sadly died aged just 27 after being involved in a motorcycle accident.

The Gen V star was the only individual involved, with Deadline being shared a note on behalf of his representatives and family.

It read: “His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those whom he loved dearest.

“We ask you to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.”

Most recently, Perdomo starred in Prime Video’s Gen V as Andre Anderson, the popular student with magnetic manipulation capabilities.

His death will probably put the filming of Season 2 at a halt.

He worked alongside Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, and London Thor in the superhero series, a spinoff of The Boys.

The show’s producer has shared in a statement: “We can’t quite wrap our heads around this. For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person.

Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television added: “The entire Gen V family is devastated by the sudden passing of Chance Perdomo.

“Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television extend our heartfelt thoughts and support to Chance’s family and all who loved him at this difficult time.”

Before Gen V, Chance played the lead role of Ambrose Spellman in Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix.

Chance was an Afro-Latino actor born in Los Angeles but was raised in Southampton, England.

He wanted to study law after graduating but focused on acting instead with his career beginning at the National Youth Theater in London.
