Shannon Beador clapped back at her ex John Janssen’s $75,000 lawsuit – in which he claimed she never paid him back after he loaned her cash for a facelift.
Meanwhile, John’s current girlfriend Alexis Bellino (who stars with Shannon on Real Housewives of Orange County) shared a cryptic quote about “the right man,” seemingly addressing John.
In his suit, John alleged he lent Shannon $40,000 for the facelift, and another $35,000 as a personal loan. He claims he has messages proving it was indeed a loan and not just a gift.
Speaking to PEOPLE via a statement, Shannon reacted to the suit.
“I am shocked and disappointed that John has a filed a lawsuit. My attorney has been in constant communication with his counsel,” said Shannon. “I agreed to pay John what he wanted because I knew that attorneys fees would surpass the amount sought, but more importantly to eliminate the negative emotional components that come with a lawsuit. It is important that I continue to focus on the positive aspects of my life and move forward.”
“John declined the offer because he refused to sign a mutual non-disparagement agreement,” she went on. “I was hoping that if I met his baseless demand we could at least use this as an opportunity to bring complete closure to this chapter in my life.”
Amid the legal chaos, Alexis took to Instagram to share a cryptic quote: “The wrong man in your life will teach you that you can do it all by yourself … The right man will show you that you can but won’t let you.”
