Sir Rod Stewart showed no signs of slowing down as he made a joint appearance with Jools Holland on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

The duo guest starred on the late-night NBC talk show to promote their new collaborative album, Swing Fever.

After struggling to incorporate “rock edge” into his music, Rod called on the legendary Squeeze keyboardist to create the 13-track collection.

After Rod revealed he and the host had dinner together the night before, Jimmy pointed at Almost Like Being in Love and the 1929 song Ain’t Misbehavin’ as standouts.

To which the British rocker added: “’I’ve got to say that Lullaby Of Broadway, which is the first track on this album, that moves as well.”

The music legends were joined by The Roots and three backup singers, as Jools amazed the audience with his piano solo during the jazz-style performance.

Fans were blown away and took to the comments with elation, including @loveforeignaccents who remarked: “Rod still got it going on!!!”

An impressed @michaelrmurphy2734 added: “Jimmy’s got the moves. I wonder if he has been a tap dancer?”

As @nicholasgarrick8855 added: “Jools and his bands are excellent really nice to hear Rod having fun again classic song, what treat for everyone there, amazing performance.” (sic)
