Joe Jonas Isn’t Spending The Holiday With His Daughters
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE Magazine, Joe flew the girls overseas to meet their mother on December 17 so they could spend the rest of the holiday season with her. The agreement dictates that Sophie will return the girls to New York state on January 7th, where they’ll then spend time with their father.
Despite reaching out for comment, Joe and Sophie’s representatives had nothing to say to PEOPLE.
It was reported in October that Sophie and Joe had reached a temporary custody agreement over their 3 and 1-year old daughters, which included how they’d split the upcoming holidays, as they navigate their ongoing divorce.
Joe filed for divorce in Florida in September, though Sophie claims she was shocked by his decision. The musician originally withheld their daughter’s passports, saying that taking them abroad would violate the divorce proceedings in the tropical state.
Sophie Previously Accused Joe Of Kidnapping Their Kids
Sophie responded by filing a lawsuit, claiming Joe’s actions were tantamount to kidnapping and he had no right to keep their passports.
Joe responded by releasing a statement denying Sophie’s claims and explaining his position. “Joe is seeking shared parenting with the kids so that they are raised by both their mother and father, and is of course also okay with the kids being raised both in the US and the UK,” his lawyer said in a statement.
“This is an unfortunate legal disagreement about a marriage that is sadly ending,” the attorney went on. “When language like ‘abduction’ is used, it is misleading at best, and a serious abuse of the legal system at worst.”

Sophie Turner has earned millions through her acting after her time on one of HBO’s biggest shows.
Eventually, the exes spent several days in mediation in New York before agreeing to a temporary custody arrangement, which apparently gave Sophie the right to have the girls in the U.K. over the holidays.
Though their divorce is ongoing, Sophie has already publicly moved on. She’s been seen getting close to British aristocrat Peregrine “Perry” Pearson. A report in November says Joe is angered to see Sophie with someone new in such a high-profile fashion, especially given how much attention is surrounding their divorce.
“Joe is livid with the latest coming from Sophie, making him look like a horrible father,” a source told Daily Mail. “’It is disgusting in his eyes what she has chosen to do.”
“Joe thought they were moving in a forward direction with the divorce and finding a way to co-parent but now it is just a nasty mess, and the latest lawsuit threw any type of positivity all off course,” the insider added.
For now, Joe hasn’t been romantically linked to anyone new nor has he commented on reports that his daughters are abroad with Sophie for the holiday season.
