@YOULIKEMYPACE added: “Imagine being this ungrateful to the role that gave you fame and pays you millions.”

A sixth viewer @AFCshad0w wrote: “Stranger Things is the only reason she’s famous lol.”
Despite the backlash, other viewers came to Millie’s defence and understood her desire to move on after a decade on the show.
@Jenney14067744 shared: “I want that for her. She should move on and not just be known as Eleven.”
@NLNShootTheSh*t echoed: “I get the feeling of weariness after working on one project for so long. Go get your next gig Millie!”
This isn’t the first time the 19-year-old has spoken up about leaving the show, as she told Seventeen: “I’m definitely ready to wrap up. I feel like there’s a lot of the story that’s been told now, and we know of it, it’s been in our lives for a very long time.
“But I’m very ready to say goodbye to this chapter of my life and open new ones up.
“I’m able to create stories myself that are important to me and focus on the bigger picture. But I’m really grateful [for the show].”
