Susanna Reid’s Ideal Four-Word Answer to Her Favorite GMB Co-Host Query

Since joining Good Morning Britain in 2014, Susanna Reid has sat next to a string of famous faces including the likes of Piers Morgan, Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway. However, the 53-year-old always has a sweet response ready when quizzed on who her favourite co-star is.

Back in 2017, Richard Madeley was brought in to star alongside her and the pair appear to have a great relationship both on and off screen. Richard, 57, is now part of a two-weeks-on-two-weeks-off gig shared with Ed Balls, with them taking turns in working with Susanna.

In a column with The Spectator he shared Susanna channels her “Inner Bruce Forsyth, she smiles sweetly and replies: ‘They’re all my favourites’,” when asked who her preferred on-screen partner is. This came after Richard recently revealed his secret health battle.

Richard was left deaf for almost half a year in one ear after fluid built up, due to post-viral symptoms after contracting Covid during a visit to his second home in France.

The television star has a sprawling property located between Vence and the village of Saint-Paul de Vence that he owns with his wife Judy Finnigan, with the pair regularly jetting off there when they have downtime.

The broadcaster struggled on GMB, claiming he was forced to lip-read in “secret” when he struggled to hear properly while interviewing guests.

He recalled: “Conducting interviews during my stints co-hosting Good Morning Britain became secret exercises in lip-reading”.

“Likewise, conversations in crowded restaurants and pubs. I became skilled at pretending I’d heard what people had said,” he added.

Richard claimed it drove his wife Judy, 75, absolutely “mad” as he was constantly asking the same questions and repeating himself.

After seeking help from a consultant, he was reassured that his ear would repair on its own – but he had to be patient, as it takes time.

Thankfully he has regained his hearing after a difficult five months.

The television star praised family and friends, as he admitted: “It turned out it was everyone else who had to be patient”.
