Halle Secretly Welcomed A Son At The End Of 2023
But the actress declined to confirm her pregnancy until after her baby boy arrived. Now, thanks to a new report, it’s become clear why Halle hid her pregnancy in the first place.
“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son,” Halle said in an Instagram post made January 6, revealing her son was born towards the end of December. “Welcome to the world my halo the world is desperate to know you.”
Halle accompanied the birth announcement with a close-up of her manicured hand holding her baby boy’s wrist. Halo wore a small golden bracelet with his name engraved into it.
Halle Kept Her Pregnancy A Secret To Avoid Scrutiny
Speaking to Us Weekly, a source explained that Halle and DDG wanted to keep her pregnancy a secret in order to maintain their privacy. The couple isn’t used to the level of stardom Halle achieved in 2023 thanks to her rising career. So, it made sense for them to lay low while awaiting their son’s birth.
“Halle told friends it was to protect their baby and relationship from scrutiny, but it was all very strange to those around them, especially when she has had such a huge year in movies,” the insider said.
They added that Halle “plans to take some time off [from acting] to bond with Halo.”
Though she was keeping her pregnancy on the down-low, Halle didn’t shy away from making public appearances at various events, even during what was likely her third trimester.
