Tom Brady reveals he’s lost 10 pounds since retiring from NFL

Tom Brady has attributed his recent leaner physique to having less “stress” in his life after his retirement from the NFL.

“Yeah, I’m down about 10 pounds, but I’m actually very fit right now,” the seven-time Super Bowl champion said during Monday’s episode the “Let’s Go” podcast with co-hosts Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray.

“I haven’t had the stress that I had while I was playing so that’s allowed me to focus a little bit more on my physical health.”

The retired quarterback, 46, went on to stress the importance of focusing on health and wellness.

“You could prioritize a lot of other things — career, kids, relationships, family, greater good, community,” he said.

“But at the end of the day, physical and mental health should sit at the top of the pyramid.”

Brady officially walked away from professional football in February, though his previous indecisiveness allegedly led to his split from Gisele Bündchen.

The couple, who share two children together, finalized their divorce in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage.

While the former pro athlete appears to be in a better place with his health journey, he sparked concern earlier this year with his slimmed-down appearance.

“I’m actually very fit right now,” he said during Monday’s episode of the “Let’s Go” podcast.

Back in January, ESPN reporter Jeff Darlington revealed the father of three had dropped 15 pounds during his final NFL season amid his separation from the Brazilian supermodel, 43.

“Tampa Bay’s team struggled this season. There is no doubt the offense never clicked … but Brady also knows his own mental focus was gone for a bulk of the season,” Darlington said in a video posted on Twitter.

“His physical stature, faced with 15 pounds of weight loss, was also in peril.”

Brady previously dropped 15 pounds in his final NFL season amid his divorce from Gisele Bündchen.

Over the years, the football legend has raised eyebrows with his intense diet, which does not include white sugar, dairy, white flour, caffeine or iodized salt.

He also avoids strawberries and nightshade vegetables.

In July, Brady revealed he was still adhering to that routine in retirement.

“I don’t think it’s a strict regimen. I think it’s just trying to make healthy choices that allow me to live the life I want to live,” he told People.

Even in retirement, the Super Bowl champion said physical and mental health are his top priorities.

“I still want to maintain,” he added. “I’ve developed so many healthy habits, I just want to stick with them.”

Meanwhile, the longtime New England Patriots quarterback made headlines earlier this month for his “creepy” appearance in a promo video for the NFL.

Several fans accused Brady of getting too much Botox, while others compared him to the “handsome Squidward” meme.
