Blink-182 stormed the charts in the late 90s and early 2000s. Their lineup consists of bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus, guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge, and drummer Travis Barker. Songs like All the Small Things, I Miss You, and What’s My Age Again? became hit singles and earned them fans around the world. Together the group has sold 50 million albums, and have moved 15.3 million copies in the U.S.
But in February 2005, the band issued a press statement announcing their “indefinite hiatus.” The group broke up after several arguments regarding their future and recording process. DeLonge felt increasingly conflicted both about his creative freedom within the group and how touring was affecting his family life. The band members did not speak from their breakup until 2008.
In October 2022, Blink-182 announced they were reuniting for a worldwide tour. In addition to the tour announcement, Blink-182 released a new album, One More Time… All of which helps to build the band’s fortune but which member of the band has the highest net worth?
Updated November 2023: Currently, Blink-182’s Travis Barker, Mark Hoppus, and Tom DeLonge are on tour. While they have wound up a portion of their North American tour, with more dates coming next year, the next stop for the band is Australia in February 2024. This appears to have been planned around the timing of Barker and his wife, Kourtney Kardashian’s baby boy being born. Which, according to sources, happened in late October or early November. However, to date, nothing has been confirmed.
As for Hoppus and DeLonge, life is status quo. Hoppus remains cancer-free and DeLonge is still speaking on his UFO conspiracies when not playing in the band.
The Hiatus, The Plane Crash And The Reunion
Barker was involved in a plane crash that killed four people in 2008. Barker sustained second and third-degree burns and developed post-traumatic stress disorder. Hoppus was alerted about Barker’s accident by a phone call in the middle of the night and jumped on the next flight to the burn center.
The band appeared on stage together as presenters at the February 2009 Grammy Awards. This was a reunion fans had hoped for five years in the making. At that time, they announced their reunion. The trio embarked on a reunion tour of North America from July to October 2009.
The reunion of the band has been characterized as dysfunctional by both Barker and DeLonge. In his memoir, Can I Say, Barker claims DeLonge’s behavior on tour was “introverted” until “money started coming in,” after which “he’d get excited about Blink.”

Mark Hoppus is best known as the bassist and co-lead vocalist of Blink-182. Outside of the band, Hoppus has been involved with a number of additional music projects. He collaborated with band member Tom DeLonge on a number of entrepreneurial ventures, including Atticus clothing and Macbeth Footwear. As the years went by, Hoppus sold his stake in these companies. He airs a weekly podcast, and hosted his own television discussion program, Hoppus on Music, on Fuse from 2010 to 2012.
Last year, Hoppus accidentally revealed that he was diagnosed with stage 4 diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. He had only intended to post an image of himself at a chemotherapy clinic (captioned: “Yes hello. One cancer treatment please”) with his close friends. But he inadvertently shared it with a million of his followers on Instagram.
“Maybe part of me subconsciously posted it to my main, but I definitely didn’t do it on purpose,” he would tell GQ the following December. “But I don’t know. It kind of felt like a Band-Aid had been ripped off and I was able to be honest with people.”
In September 2021, Hoppus posted a message on Instagram revealing that his oncologist had given him the all clear.
“It’ll take me until the end of the year to get back to normal,” Hoppus wrote, “but today is an amazing day and I feel so blessed.”
Hoppus is also the richest member of Blink 182, with an estimated net worth of $80 million.
Blink-182: Tom DeLonge

Tom DeLonge is the co-founder, guitarist and co-lead vocalist of Blink-182. He left the band in January 2015, with the remaining members of Blink 182 issuing statement.
They wrote in their official statement: “A week before we were scheduled to go into the studio, we got an email from [Tom’s] manager explaining that he didn’t want to participate in any Blink-182 projects indefinitely, but would rather work on his other non-musical endeavors. No hard feelings, but the show must go on for our fans.”
But DeLonge dismissed the statement, claiming he would “never quit the band”.
In an open letter on his Facebook page, he wrote: “I love Blink and am incredibly grateful for having it in my life. It has given me everything…At the end of the day, all of this makes me really sad. Sad for us. Sad for you- that you’re witnessing this immaturity.”
DeLonge released his first solo studio album, To the Stars… Demos, Odds and Ends, on April 21, 2015. In the late 90s, he started a holding group called Really Likable People (RLP). After investing $20,000 into the holding group, he created a website that sold clothing for youths. In 2001, he also co-founded the Atticus Clothing.
DeLonge has a keen interest in UFOs and started To The Stars, Inc., an entertainment company with an aerospace and science division. In 2020, it was also reported that DeLonge had sold the rights to his entire catalog of Blink 182 songs.
It was only because of Hoppus’ cancer diagnosis that DeLonge came back to Blink. It was then that DeLonge realized his love for music again and just wanted to be with his friends making new music and playing together on stage.
Currently, Delonge’s net worth is valued at $70 million.
Blink-182: Travis Barker

Travis Barker serves as the drummer for Blink-182. He has also performed as a member of the rap rock group Transplants. The now 47-year-old also appeared on the MTV reality series Meet the Barkers, with his former wife Shanna Moakler. Rolling Stone magazine included Barker on their “100 Greatest Drummers of All Time” list in 2016.
Barker started a clothing line, Famous Stars & Straps, in 1999 and founded a record label, LaSalle Records, in 2004.
In 2015, he released a memoir, Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death, and Drums, Drums, Drums.
In addition, he was an actor who participated in various movies and TV shows, including, American Pie and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Most recently, Barker gained a new-found legion of fans by marrying reality star Kourtney Kardashian. While they have yet to confirm, it is rumored that the two have had their first child together sometime in October 2023.
