Xenia Florence Gabriela Sophie Iris, the Princess of Saxony, has made history by becoming the first member of the aristocracy to pose for Playboy — and she told the magazine she thinks her regal ancestors “would have definitely approved.”
The German princess, 37, strikes a racy pose on the March 2024 cover of German Playboy, draping a white sheet across one half of her body while leaving the other side completely bare.
But she dropped the coverup in another picture, posing completely topless by a luxurious pool in another snapshot as she wore a sheer white skirt with waist-high slits.
In a third photo, Xenia — whose great-great-great-grandfather was Frederick Augustus III, the last king of Saxony — wears a white bodysuit with the crotch unsnapped, pulling it down to reveal her chest.
In her accompanying interview, the socialite told German Playboy she wanted to show through her photos that “every woman is beautiful the way she is.”
“You don’t have to conform to trends or have surgery on your body just to please someone,” she told the magazine. “I have stretch marks and I’m proud to show them.”
The longtime reality TV personality, who currently stars in “B:Real – Real Celebrities, Real Life,” told the mag that she has to “fight against prejudices all day long” because of her ancestry but also because of her body.
“In some reality TV shows, I was the only one who didn’t have anything done to her body,” she shared, continuing that “other women, some of whom had had a lot of surgery, said something like that I wasn’t any competition for them because I didn’t have any curves and wasn’t feminine.”
The “Undercover Princesses” star admitted that the “horrible” comments nearly made her give “in to the pressure” to get plastic surgery, although she never did.
The royal descendant and onetime Ikea model — who authored a biography, “Xenia: The Life of a Princess in the 21st Century” — went on to say, “I see myself more as a kind of spy. I want to bring the real thing back to reality TV and at the same time show people who I really am.”
However, her claim as a princess has been disputed by at least one member of her noble line, with Maria Emanuel, Margrave of Meissen, making an angry statement to German newspaper Bild after the news of Xenia’s book broke.
“She is a nothing, she can’t have a biography. This thing is a dreadful faux pas, a misfortune for the 1,000-year-old House of Wettin!” the aristocrat said via The Independent.

However, the princess told Playboy she thinks the late king of Saxony would have got a kick out of her magazine shoot, sharing, “He was described to me as very humorous and loving. So he would definitely have approved of it.”

At the end of the day, Xenia said she’s happy with herself as long as she’s healthy.
“I like my body best when it works and I’m pain-free,” she said, adding, “I’ve never determined how well I like myself based on my appearance.”
