Gypsy Rose Blanchard allegedly has a reality star cousin.
According to genealogist Dr. Adina Newman, also known as My Family Genie, the ex-con is related to none other than “Vanderpump Rules” alum Stassi Schroeder.
“Who spent the whole day researching Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s family tree? 🙋♀️. More specifically, I focused on her maternal side,” Newman shared on Instagram Saturday.
“And let me tell you, Cajuns and Acadians basically everywhere! If you know anything about Cajuns and Acadians, they are endogamous, a small founder population and keeping it within the family for generations.”
Newman went on to claim that Blanchard, 32, and Schroeder, 35, are related on their paternal grandmother’s side.
While they are related in a “bazillion ways,” she alleged their closest relation “is through Antoine Bourg (c.1609-c.1687) and Antoinette Landry (c.1618-c.1693), progenitors of the Bourg line in Acadia.”
She continued, “Stassi and Gypsy Rose are at minimum 11th cousins, Stassi is 10th cousins once removed with Dee Dee.”
Dee Dee is Gypsy’s mom, Clauddine Blanchard, who was murdered by her daughter’s former boyfriend in 2015. Gypsy was later locked up for second-degree murder in 2016.
In response to Newman’s post, Schroeder commented, “Omg I’m unwell 😂😂😂💀💀💀🪦🪦🪦.”
Newman responded, “I love this for you ❤️.”
To fans’ surprise, the genealogist shared more findings in a second post, revealing that Blanchard and Schroeder are also related to “Pump Rules” star Katie Maloney.
“Gypsy is 11th cousins once removed with Katie and 11 cousins with Stassi,” Newman wrote.
Gypsy was released from prison Thursday after serving more than seven years of her 10-year sentence for helping to plan and cover up the murder of her mother.
Dee Dee is thought to have suffered from Munchausen syndrome by proxy — a psychological disorder that makes a caregiver crave attention and sympathy — which made her trick doctors, and Gypsy herself, into believing she suffered from a myriad of illnesses, including cancer and muscular dystrophy that prohibited her from walking.
Ultimately, Gypsy and her boyfriend murdered Dee Dee to end the abuse.
Gypsy has captivated audiences ever since her trial, and her story has been documented in HBO’s 2017 film, “Mommy Dead and Dearest,” and the 2019 Hulu drama, “The Act.”
Furthermore, a new documentary, “The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard,” is due to premiere on Lifetime Friday.
Since her release from prison, Gypsy has gained nearly 6 million followers on Instagram and 6.2 million on TikTok.
A huge Swiftie, she revealed last week that she had tickets to attend Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs game against the Cincinnati Bengals in hopes of meeting Taylor Swift as she cheered on her beau Travis Kelce.
Unfortunately for Gypsy, law enforcement told her she needed to leave the state of Missouri after she was let out of Chillicothe Correctional Center.
