Ali Krieger says she’s doing just fine amid her split from estranged wife Ashlyn Harris, who has since moved on with actress Sophia Bush.
“I have never felt more happy and more free, so I feel excited for the future,” the retired soccer player, 39, told E! News, adding that she’s “excited” to start a “new chapter” in her life.
“I’m excited to discover new passions. I’m excited to spend more time with my kids first and foremost and to be able to go visit family and friends whenever I want.”
The former US Women’s National Team star shares two adopted children with her ex – daughter Sloane, 2, and son Ocean, 1.
When asked about how co-parenting with Harris, 38, has been going, Krieger replied, “So far, so good.”
Page Six broke the news that Harris filed for divorce from Krieger after nearly four years of marriage in September 2023.
Just a few weeks after news of their divorce broke, Page Six reported that Harris moved on and has been dating longtime friend-turned-partner, Bush, 41.
Sources told us at the time that their platonic relationship turned romantic after they both appeared on a panel together at the Cannes Lions Festival in June 2023.

“It’s very new,” one insider told us in October 2023. “They are definitely a couple.”
The “One Tree Hill” actress and the soccer star were later spotted looking cozy together after arriving “arm in arm” at an event at Art Basel in Miami last month.
Shortly after Bush and Harris’ romance made headlines, Harris denied cheating on Krieger by writing on social media that she “did not step out on my marriage.”
“I was always faithful in my marriage, if not always totally happy,” Harris wrote in November 2023.
Meanwhile, Bush has kept fairly quiet about the new relationship. However, she admitted to feeling “betrayed” and “broken” in 2023 after she filed for divorce from husband Grant Hughes in August after one year of marriage.
