Amy Robach, T.J. Holmes defend ‘handsy’ red carpet debut at Jingle Ball

Sorry, not sorry!

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes couldn’t keep their hands to themselves during their red carpet debut — and they aren’t apologizing.

“We were just being us. Apparently that’s handsy and a lot of PDA,” Robach said on Tuesday’s “Amy & T.J.” podcast episode of their Dec. 1 appearance at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball 2023.

“But you know what? We’re in love. We’re happy. I don’t know how else to act,” the 50-year-old continued, adding that they “just held hands and laughed” and kissed on the cheek.

Holmes, 46, chimed in to admit that headlines about their PDA were due to a “bad habit” he’s trying to break.

“When I put my arm around you, my hand ends up lower than the waist. It’s just there,” he confessed. “It could be sweet, but it could be sexualized or viewed as such.”

Robach recalled her partner “trying to break the habit while [they] were on the carpet” and stopping himself “five times.”

She noted, “I think it’s cute. I know it’s sweet.”

The couple have since “found a way to keep” Holmes’ hands to himself as Robach rocked a sequined dress to “Today” producer Jennifer Long’s wedding to Reid Sterrett over the weekend.

“It had a lot of sequins and it wasn’t comfortable for you to have your hand where you usually put it,” Robach joked of the shiny ensemble.

“This was a difficult dress to do PDA in,” Holmes agreed, with Robach going on to call it a “training dress” that will teach him “not to put [his] hand there anymore” with enough wears.

The ousted “Good Morning America” co-hosts have been enjoying “proudly” putting their romance on display one year after news broke of their relationship.

Now that the pair are “able to be free of hiding and running and just avoiding,” it’s “no small thing,” Robach gushed.

She and Holmes addressed the “hell[ish]” early days of the scandal in the debut episode of their podcast last week — and denied cheating on their respective spouses, Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig.

Shue, 56, and Fiebig, 46, are now a couple in their own right, with Page Six reporting that they “connected over their values.”

Notably, Robach and Holmes did not speak to their exes’ new bond on Tuesday’s episode.
