Anna Delvey, Kelly Cutrone producing runway show for NYFW

Scammer sensation Anna Delvey and fashion biz legend Kelly Cutrone are producing a full runway show during Fashion Week, Page Six has learned.

We’re told Cutrone and Delvey met after the Russian-born con artiste said on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast last year that she became determined to move to New York after seeing the tough power publicist at work on shows like MTV’s “The Hills” and “The City.”

Now the pair have formed a “pop-up fashion PR agency,” dubbed the OutLaw Agency, for the event and we’re told Delvey is fully involved in all aspects of the ambitious show for new designer Shao Yang, from planning the guest list to choreographing the models — all, that is except social media, since she’s still banned from posting online by a judge.

Delvey first came to the city to attend Fashion Week in 2013.

We hear that because there’s no room for hair and make-up near Delvey’s downtown digs, around 20 models will be bussed in from a Canal Street studio. The complex and unique setting for the Sept. 11 show means that the details of where exactly they’ll walk are still being hashed out. They’ll say only that the bulk of the event will happen “in the vicinity” of the spot that’s been her home since she was released from prison early in 2021.

But we’re told that a handful of the elite fashion editors will be invited into the tiny fifth-floor apartment where Devley is under house arrest while her ICE case is going through the courts, to meet Parsons grad Yang, whose fusion of street-wear and classic tailoring is showing at Fashion Week for the first time.

In 2019 Delvey was convicted of crimes including grand larceny and theft of services after posing as a German heiress to bilk hotels, banks and other businesses out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

She served two years in prison and paid off much of money she filched, in part with the proceeds from the Netflix biopic “Inventing Anna.”

Cutrone told us that the splashy plan is an attempt to solve a growing problem for young designers.

She added that fashion shows cost young designers at least $120,000 to put on, while the vast competition for attention on social media and the shrinking fashion press means that each show tends to get less and less attention, despite the sky-high overheads.

“This is fun, but it’s not a joke,” Cutrone told us. “It’s a serious project to get some attention for talented designers.”

She added that she sees it as part of a much-needed effort to put some pop into New York City’s flagging retail scene. “This project is like if ‘Thelma and Louise’ and Mother Teresa had a baby,” she said.

Delvey told Page Six, “It was so great to finally get connected with Kelly. I used to watch her on [Bravo’s] ‘Kell on Earth’ as a teenager in Germany, and she was always such an icon in my mind. My first internship was for a fashion PR agency in Berlin, and that decision was largely influenced by her as well.”

She added: “I’m so very excited to launch out new little venture, the Outlaw Agency, during this upcoming NY Fashion Week. No one is safe!”

Designer Yang ran a bespoke suiting atelier before putting together her first collection, and told us that she was immediately taken with the idea when Cutrone presented it to her. “As a young brand, we need to think outside the box,” she said.

Back in January, Delvey hosted a birthday bash at the apartment, dubbed “Club House Arrest.”

An invitation to the bash, attended by designed Cynthia Rowley and sceney sorts including Rachel Rabbit White, Cat Marnell and Ben Widdicombe, was viewed as something of a downtown status symbol at the time.

In 2022 she also worked with New York-based gallery the Locker Room to virtually host a party at a private residence in Miami to showcase her artwork.

Major A-List hair, make-up and styling team, Ted Gibson, Jason Backe, Kabuki and Jules Wood are doing the show, we’re told.
