Armie Hammer’s secret engagement ended as quickly as it started.
Marina Gris, a woman who describes herself as “super interested in psychopaths,” announced on her Instagram Story Thursday morning that she and the “Call Me by Your Name” actor have broken up.
“It’s with a reflective heart that I announce the end of my journey with Armie, a chapter that’s been deeply personal and warmly significant in my life and closed a month ago,” she began her statement.
Gris, 26, stated that she is “aware of the conversations and stories circulating” about the disgraced actor, who was accused of rape, but insisted her experiences with Hammer, 37, were “positive and in no way reflective of these allegations.”
“I speak only from my perspective and my experiences and am not responsible for any of his past, current and future relationships,” she wrote.
“Our relationship was a space where I felt deeply appreciated, supported, loved and understood.”
The IT consultant gushed over Hammer being a “gentleman” and said their plan to marry was “rooted in strength, encouragement and deep mutual care,” but she called their split “tough.”
“I am grateful to this relationship for the love and support I received, but now it’s a closed chapter,” Gris concluded.
“As I wish Armie happiness and fulfillment, I hold onto our memories with fondness, including the laughter and light-hearted moments we shared. Be happy, shawty.”

A rep for Hammer didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
In October 2023, Gris shared a photo of a diamond band on her left ring finger as Hammer held it in his own.
“I said ‘What is it, silly question day, American?’” she captioned the post, seemingly referring to his proposal.
She also uploaded a photo of a massive bouquet of flowers from the “Social Network” actor and a card that read, “We are doing this. Forever.”
The breakup news comes just under seven months after Hammer finalized his divorce from his ex-wife, Elizabeth Chambers. About a week later, he was seen making out with his ex Lisa Perejma, so it is unclear when he and Gris began dating.
In December, however, the “Death on the Nile” star shared a cryptic message about “things falling apart.”
“This is the spirit of true awakening. It was all about letting go of everything,” read the quote he posted. “Things falling apart is a kind of testing and also a kind of healing.”
Los Angeles police launched an investigation in 2021 into rape claims made by a woman named Effie but announced in May 2023 that Hammer would not face charges.
He vehemently denied the allegations, which infamously also included cannibalistic fantasies.
Following his cancellation and his wealthy family’s decision to cut him off, the movie star checked himself into rehab to treat his substance abuse issues with financial support from Robert Downey Jr.
