Jade Roper revealed on Sunday that she has been “navigating a miscarriage.”
The “Bachelor in Paradise” alum clarified to her Instagram followers over the weekend that her pregnancy loss is “called a missed miscarriage.”
The former reality star, 36, explained, “While his heart has stopped and he has stopped growing (for some time now), my body hasn’t released the pregnancy yet. I am hoping to do this naturally and am trusting in timing and in my body under the care of my provider.”
Roper called the experience “challenging and devastating” but noted she has carried “him with so much pride” and is “forever changed” by the experience.
“While our hearts our [sic] completely broken and we have been dealing with the deep and complex grief of the loss, we have been blessed to be touched by his soul for his short amount of time,” she wrote.
“While I hold my belly here, our sweet baby’s body is resting in my womb as his soul soars,” the “Bachelor” alum concluded. “We love you with every piece of our hearts, baby Beau. ❤️”
Along with her announcement, the former ABC personality posted a somber mirror selfie cradling her bump, as well as a sweet snap of her kids’ hands on her stomach.
The former model, who is the mother of daughter Emerson, 5, son Brooks, 4, and son Reed, 2, also posted an ultrasound photo.
Roper’s husband, Tanner Tolbert, commented on the social media upload with a heart emoji.
The couple’s fellow Bachelor Nation members expressed their condolences, from Season 22 Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. to Season 17 lead Katie Thurston.

Roper and Tolbert met and fell in love on Season 2 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” conceiving a baby while competing on the show.
The pair opened up about their subsequent miscarriage for the first time in a 2019 YouTube video.
“At the time, I didn’t really grieve because I just didn’t know really how to process it,” Roper said at the time. “It was so much so fast. … It’s really sad to think about what could have been.”
The duo tied the knot in January 2016, going on to welcome Emerson, Brooks and Reed in 2017, 2019 and 2020, respectively.
