Close pals Laura Dern and Reese Witherspoon joked about suffering a fashion “emergency” while rocking identical looks ahead of the holidays.
The former “Big Little Lies” co-stars were seen in matching silver sequin maxi skirts and coordinating cream sweaters in photos shared to their respective Instagrams on Thursday.
“Listen, I said get Santa on the horn, STAT. We’ve got a skirt emergency 🚨,” Dern, 56, captioned the photo in which she giggled as Witherspoon pretended to take a very serious phone call.
Witherspoon shared a festive snap of their harmonious ensembles as they posed in front of a colorful Christmas tree each holding beverages with big smiles on their faces.
But in a second photo, the two pals looked drained as they stood barefoot outside as they each held their heels in their hands.
“Spreading Holiday joy … it’s exhausting 😂🎄💫💗,” Witherspoon, 47, captioned her own post.
While the actresses’ shimmery Old Navy skirts are surprisingly affordable at $30 a piece, they’ll be nearly impossible to get a hold of considering they are completely sold out online.
While their clothes were identical, the “Legally Blonde” alum wore black heels while Dern accessorized with red heels and a red Gucci clutch.
Several of their fans flooded the comments section with questions and comments about their merry moment.
“Ah the Skirtmergency,” one person wrote on Instagram.
“I’m gonna need more info. Was there caroling? Egg nog? What am I dealing with here?” a second person wrote.
“Calling Santa to wish for a new SEASON 3 of BIG LITTLE LIES?!?!?” a third asked.
“When you both walked into the party, I knew something was up! Love you,” a friend said.
The dynamic duo had been attending “Property Brothers” star Jonathan Scott’s holiday fête.
“So… we turned our home into a winter wonderland full of whimsy 🤩🎄,” Scott shared on Instagram along with a video of the festive celebration.

Scott made sure to thank Witherspoon and Dern for attending his soirèe.
“Holidaying takes a lot out of you. 😆🎅 thanks for coming…it was a magical night,” he commented on Witherspoon’s photo.
It’s unclear why the two besties decided to twin — or if it was a total accident — but it’s clear their fans are loving it.
