Brian Austin Green got a vasectomy after welcoming ‘birth control baby’ Zane with Sharna Burgess

Brian Austin Green has closed the shop.

The “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum revealed he got a vasectomy following the birth of his and Sharna Burgess’ 1-year-old son, Zane.

“Zane was born and I was like, ‘I think it’s time to close the shop,’” Green said during Tuesday’s episode of his “Old-ish” podcast.

Burgess then clarified, “[Bryan] actually had a vasectomy when Zayn was 8-weeks-old.”

The “Dancing With The Stars” pro went on to describe her son as a “birth control baby,” who was “meant to be — but unplanned” because she had actually been on birth control when she got pregnant.

And to avoid any more unplanned pregnancies, Green took matters into his own hands until they decided whether they wanted to grow their family.

“It was a beautiful thing that Brian did because birth control always made me feel crazy,” Burgess, 38, continued.

“So, I was really, really grateful for that. It was such a big and beautiful thing he did, and it secures comfort and no stress in our sex life — not worry about it, if we are or we aren’t [pregnant], which is such a gift.”

The professional dancer furthered that if they decide to “experience” planning a pregnancy together, they’d likely have to do IVF.

The 50-year-old actor further claimed that none of his five children were ever planned. However, he has no regrets.

“I love my kids and I wasn’t against any of them, but I’ve never experienced that thing of looking at a pregnancy test and hoping that it’s positive and preparing that way,” he explained.

The “Desperate Housewives” alum and Burgess — who got engaged in July after nearly three years together — welcomed Zane in June 2022.

Green also shares sons Noah Shannon, 11, Bodhi Ransom, 9, and Journey River, 7, with his ex-wife, Megan Fox, as well as son Kassius Lijah, 21, with his ex-girlfriend Vanessa Marcil.

He previously opened up about co-parenting with his exes, revealing Marcil was more “difficult” after she claimed she was raising Kassius by herself.

As for Fox, they maintain an amicable relationship and they “co-parent really well together.”

“When we need to, we communicate really well, we are open to things, we don’t take things personally. It is my goal, and I think it’s her goal as well, that the kids are in as healthy [of an] environment as they can be in,” Green explained.

Burgess added they “are lucky” to have made having such a “great relationship” altogether important.
