Candis Cayne reveals why she’s no longer friends with ‘cult member’ Caitlyn Jenner

Candis Cayne, who starred alongside Caitlyn Jenner on her E! series, “I Am Cait,” is slamming the Republican reality star for her political views.

The trans activist, 52, said in an interview with the Messenger Wednesday that Jenner, 74, is “a Fox News cult member.”

She also claimed she purposely distanced herself from the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum.

“We just don’t really talk anymore, because I can’t separate my friendship with her and her belief system anymore,” Cayne said.

Jenner, meanwhile, is unapologetic about her views and does not seem to lament the lost relationship with her ex-pal.

“Caitlyn is proud of her ongoing contract as a Fox News contributor — the only network to employ an openly trans contributor,” the Olympian told Page Six exclusively via a spokesperson Thursday.

“She reaches the largest cable news audience, bringing a level headed perspective, on protecting women’s sports.”

Jenner famously announced her own transition in 2015 but has been criticized by people within her community — aside from her former friend — who do not agree with her political affiliations for years.

In 2017, she was ambushed by a transgender woman because she voted for Donald Trump.

“It’s really f–ked up you continue to support somebody that tears us down,” Ashlee Marie Preston yelled at Jenner during an LGBTQ event at the time. “It’s really f–ked up.”

In April 2021, the “Secrets of My Life” author announced her gubernatorial run in California, but was again met with backlash from the LGBTQIA+ community.

“You supported MAGA, Republicans have done nothing but disrespect LGBTQ rights,” a critic tweeted at the time.

After Jenner dropped out of the California race, she was hired by Fox News as a contributor.

“Caitlyn’s story is an inspiration to us all,” Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott said in March 2022.

“She is a trailblazer in the LGBTQ+ community and her illustrious career spans a variety of fields that will be a tremendous asset for our audience.”

At the time, Jenner said she was “humbled by this unique opportunity to speak directly to Fox News Media’s millions of viewers about a range of issues that are important to the American people.”

Since then, the outspoken right-wing media personality has continued to express her views on social media and television.

In October 2023, Jenner backed comedian Dave Chapelle after he said on his Netflix special “The Closer” that “gender is a fact” and described himself as being part of “team TERF,” an acronym for a “trans-exclusionary radical feminist.”

Jenner said in response to Chapelle’s comments that the stand-up comic was “100% right.”

She added via X, formerly known as Twitter, “This isn’t about the LGBTQ movement. It’s about woke cancel culture run amok, trying to silence free speech.”
