Brooke Mueller has been relying on a 12-step program to help her battle addiction, and it has been working, friends tell Page Six.
Sources close to Charlie Sheen’s ex told us that Mueller is currently in a program, and, “she really likes it.”
“It seems to be working for her,” a source said.
Mueller infamously has battled addiction, as has Sheen over the years.
These days, the star has been leaning on family while co-parenting her 14-year-old twin boys, Max and Bob, with Sheen, sources say.
She made a rare appearance in New York earlier this year, where she attended her sister Sidney’s wedding at Cipriani Wall St.
She looked healthier and was “all good and happy” while hanging out with family friend skincare guru Peter Thomas Roth — whom she previously dated in 2016.
In a new interview with People, Sheen claimed he was a “single dad,” and said Brooke, “was not in the picture too much right now.”
But sources told us Mueller, 46, is very much in the picture, and that her focus these days is on her sobriety and being present for her boys.
We’re told she has even introduced the twins to surfing and music.
“Max is surfing in California, and it’s now his passion. She introduced Bob to the electric guitar and drums — and not only takes him to his lessons, but adores sitting in and listening to him practice during his sessions the whole time,” the source said. “She’s his biggest fan.”

Meanwhile, the kids continue to live with Sheen in Malibu during the week while Mueller is living temporarily in Beverly Hills with her parents, Moira and Jon Fiore, until she moves into a new Malibu home in a couple of weeks.
“Living an hour away at the moment from [their] school makes it difficult for the boys to live with her in Beverly Hills during the school week,” the source said.
Mueller and the boys previously lived in Calabasas, Calif., we hear. Her new Malibu home “will be five minutes from the school,” the source added.
A rep for Mueller did not comment.
