He’s got game!
Cher rekindled her May-December romance with boyfriend Alexander “AE” Edwards after her much younger beau, “gave her space,” a source tells Page Six.
Cher, 77, and Edwards, 37, reportedly split in May — but have been seen back together in Los Angeles, Calif., and Paris, France, this month.
An insider said of the couple: “Alexander is playing the game well. He gave her space when she first called it off.”
The impressed source added, “We thought she got rid of him. But the fact is, Cher does enjoy spending time with him.”
The pop icon and Edwards popped up together at Paris Fashion Week in the front row hand-in-hand at Balmain’s show on Wednesday.
Said our source of Cher, “The fact is at this point in her life she just wants to be happy.”
The insider also said that the death of fellow superstar Tina Turner had an impact on the “Believe” singer.
“With the passing of her friend Tina [Turner], she is realizing life is to short,” said the pal. “She just wants to be happy, and Alex is filling that gap right now.”
Turner died in May at age 83.
Cher and Edwards were first romantically linked in November 2022 after being spotted holding hands in LA. But news of their split came after they made their red carpet debut at the Versace fall 2023 fashion show in March.
Edwards was previously linked to Amber Rose, 39, with whom who he shares a 3-year-old son, Slash.
When the pair previously received backlash for their nearly 40-year age gap, Cher fired back at critics on Twitter by posting, “haven’t You Got Anything Else 2 Do?! Let Me Explain…I DONT GIVE A [flying] FK WHAT ANYONE THINKS.”
Our source said on Wednesday, “Cher was never one to care about what anyone else thought about her life or her relationships… The way she spends her time is on her.”
