Christina Aguilera is ‘sorry’ to postpone Las Vegas residency shows: ‘See you soon’

Christina Aguilera was forced to postpone two of her Las Vegas shows just days after her residency began.

The Grammy winner, 43, revealed via her Instagram Story Wednesday that she came down with the flu right after opening weekend at the Voltaire Belle de Nuit venue inside Sin City’s Venetian Resort.

“After welcoming you all to the new year from the stage in Las Vegas, I’ve been welcomed with a new year flu!!!” Aguilera wrote to her followers, adding that she is “sorry” to have to reschedule this coming weekend’s dates so she can “rest.”

“I cannot wait to be back on that stage in a few weeks,” she insisted, going on to express how “incredibly proud” she is of the show and “grateful” she is for “all the support and love” she received after performing on Dec. 30 and 31.

“See you soon 🤒😷,” she concluded her message.

On opening night, the “Genie in a Bottle” singer reflected on 2023 while celebrating “the beginning of a new chapter.”

“I couldn’t think of a better way to bid farewell to this incredible year than to spend this night in LAS VEGAS with all of you, surrounded by your energy and enthusiasm,” she gushed.

“Cheers to the magical moments we’ll create, the music that will fill our hearts, and the endless possibilities that lie ahead🥂.”

Aguilera announced her residency in October 2023 with a sultry photo showing her rocking a plunging black corset, elaborate diamonds and a platinum blond bob.

The “Dirrty” songstress described the show as a “fusion of art and music” and promised concertgoers a “modern twist on the performance experience.”
